Isn’t Blade Runner supposed to be one of those classic movies that you can pretty much just get anytime you want? Tried to buy it tonight, but not one store of the three I went to had it in stock. In fact, Barnes and Noble tried to convince me that it had never actually come out on DVD before, despite the fact that I know several people who have it. Even went to Blockbuster and Hollywood Video. Both only carry one copy in the store and both had those copies rented out. What has this world come to.

I’m fairly certain I saw Blade Runner on DVD at Target yesterday while Jill was looking at video tapes. I wouldn’t necessarily expect a video store to have more than 1 copy in stock though; it’s 20 years old and most stores don’t keep many duplicate copies of anything but new releases.
yeah… Target was the first place I checked…. damn… maybe I should have driven to Columbus.
It may be that they’ve stopped the current run of discs, since there’s a 3-disc special edition coming out this winter. I’d also heard that the original DVD wasn’t all that great, since it was one of the first ones that came out. (i.e. — non anamorphic and crappy encoding artifacts)
