So, wooble is apparently attempting to write a novel in one month. At first this seems like a really stupid idea. 50,000 words in 30 days, and seven of them are already gone and I haven’t started. But then I got to thinking about it. I wrote and drew a comic book from start to finish in 24 consecutive hours. In fact I did it twice. And most of my really good papers in school were basically written in a weekend, right? So I’m seriously considering giving it a try. Who’s with me?
If nothing else, it may be a good excuse to buy a new iBook and a micro-cassette recorder.
PS: To anyone who hasn’t read my 24 hour comics before… (or anyone who has) comments are as always appreciated…
So I’m seriously considering giving it a try. Who’s with me?
Not I. Maybe you shoulda tried this before you got a job?
But, if you’re crazy enough to make the attempt, i’d probably join you for a 24 hour comic session or two while you novelize…
Comments: your naked angel guy in the second comic, the computery one, not the hand drawn one. He looks like Ben Raia with a smaller head and some muscle tone.

hmmm? you think? It was supposed to be me… only I only had moments to compose the model in order to not throw off my entire 24 hour schedule… its actually the same model as the me that is talking to the female angel in the pages before… minus clothes, plus wings and with a different texture map.
What did you think other than that?
I think you have a smaller head than Ben Raia, and more muscle tone.
Also, your legs are not that skinny.
i’m with you if we make it PerDeWriMo (ie personal december writing month) ’cause i’ll be way to busy this month finishing my classes. of course then you lose the whole national we’re all in this together aspect.
That’s true, but if we start a support group for PerDeWriMo, we’ll probably get more benefit than we will if we try for the national thingy.
I like the PerDiWriMo idea. But I’d probably want to do music, since my fiction skills are rustier than…something really rusty…and i like music better anyway. I’d have to figure out how 50,000 words translates to music…I could go by the screenwriting thing, and assume 1 page = 1 minute. How many pages in 50,000 words?
Or I could do 1 page of music = 1 page of words, but writing the music on paper would slow me down at least 50%…
Re: comic book
Hmmm… what do you mean?
