1. Would you consider yourself an organized person? Why or why not?
Yes, I think so. Most people would probably look at, say, my desk and and assume that it was completely chaotic. But in reality, there is a very sophisticated, multi-layered filing and placement scheme at work here that keeps me on top of things. Its brilliant, really.
2. Do you keep some type of planner, organizer, calendar, etc. with you, and do you use it regularly?
Yes, a Qualcomm smartphone (cellphone/pliot combo). Yes, I use it a lot.
3. Would you say that your desk is organized right now?
Yes, see the answer to question 1.
4. Do you alphabetize CDs, books, and DVDs, or does it not matter?
I currently keep all my CDs in a box in my basement, but when I had them on a shelf they were organized by musical style and genre, and by artist within that. My books are loosely organized by theme, but not really, and my DVDs are alphabetical. This seems to be kind of unscalable and unmanagable, so I think I may move to the Dewey Decimal system soon. Or, even better, the Library of Congress system, you know, if I ever get around to learning it.
5. What’s the hardest thing you’ve ever had to organize?
Getting people to meet at Silky’s for Fridat Happy Hour. Coordinating that is a pain in the ass. Speaking of which, is anyone interested in coming this week?
There’s a Tiki happy hour happening down here; I think it’s related to Robbin’s goodbye party.
