on playing tennis while suffering from the SARS and other stories…

So apparently I do not in fact need to be able to breathe in order to demonstrate my devastating net game. Beat wooble at tennis. 6-4, 6-7 (7-1), 7-5. That moves me back up to .500 in the tennis ladder. Still not good enough to pass beststephi. It actually kind of sucks because I’ve played 4 matches and she’s only played the one, so who know where we really are. I also find it interesting that I have taken part in every single game that the erisian tennis league has ever played in singles or doubles.

Hopefully, I can beat Steph next time we play and that should move me up pretty solidly.

It’s worth noting that we played on turf today for the first time. I think I can safely say that astroturf is as much a sin against the gods of tennis as it is against the gods of football. The turf is covered in a thin layer of sand, presumedly to give it a little more traction. I’m not sure if it made it better or worse.

In other news, I need to figure out when I’m seeing the new Matrix movie. It looks like anisodragnfly is trying to organize something, but she seems to want to go sooner rather than later, which would be fine, except I get up to go to work at like 6 in the morning, so staying out late on school nights kinda sucks.

And finally, I don’t know if I remembered to meniton it before (and I am feeling too lazy to check all my old journal entries), but all of the decorations for Aloha Jam have been purchased, as well as all of the prizes…. which is to say that Yes, there certainly will be prizes. So get your grass skirts and coconut bras boys and girls… (ummm… well, girls anyway… really… girls), because exciting and valuable prize packages await.

lately I have been getting 6 if I can… its really weird… I have no problem sleeping from 4-8, but its hard to sleep from 2-6. Anyway, I can make do on 4, as I did the other day, but I was thinking more on the lines of the midnight tonight show, which (even if we could get tickets) would likely let out at 2:30, so that means I’d be home at 3 and it would be 3:30 at the earliest before I fell asleep… and 2.5 hours of sleep isn’t enough for even me…

in any case, I could do Friday since that’s after all of my issues…
