Just got back from the longest baseball game ever, where I saw my beloved Indians defeated (after 6 hours, 15 innings and a rain delay) by the Pittsburgh Pirates. I’m sure yannaboo will mock me for using a Pittsburgh Steelers icon to talk about the Cleveland Indians, but rest assured I actually did wear my Indians jersey and hat to the game. Sadly though, after all that, the Tribe just couldn’t pull this one out. *sigh*
chite, I saw your request for an interview and will try to get around to writing questions for you tomorrow morning. You’re probably too busy reading Harry Potter anyway.
Sigh… sleep time now…
i don’t know what’s harder to believe: that they actually played baseball last night after the flood, or that the pirates won…
yeah, they played the first nine innings in a torrential downpour, then took a break around 10:30 and let us watcha couple of classic games against the cubs on the big screen, and then they played innings 10-15 once the rain stopped.
Oh, and its not that surprising they won… the Indians suck too…
we turned it on for a little while in the extra innings… they just kept talking about how the people who stayed got free popcorn. Did you get any?
Yeah, I’m in Cleveland thing weekend 😛
they just kept talking about how the people who stayed got free popcorn. Did you get any?
Nah, we could have, because there weren’t that many people and the people who did get it had these huge garbage bags full of popcorn, but we didn’t feel like going over there to get some. I mean, I have plenty of popcorn at home. It was pretty cool of them to do though.
I will be at the baseball game tomorrow. I’m taking my dad. I think he will probably be rooting for the Indians. I am somewhat indifferent. I might root for the Pirates. I have too much distaste for Cleveland in general to root for the Indians.
Unfortunately, Pittsburgh just doesn’t play my beloved Tigers.
GO TRIBE!
I’m weird, because I root for the Indians, and always have, but I never liked the Browns. Even as a kid growing up. I’ve always been a Steelers fan. *shrug*
Ummm, have fun at the game anyway… btw… I gave you interview questions over in‘s journal. You probably saw and just didn’t get around to it, but I wanted to make sure.
Go Tigers!
I can respect a fan, especially on that sticks to his team even when they suck. (*cough*cough* unlike my boyfriend who went from Penguins back to Flyers in a year *cough*)
I still root for the teams I consider ‘home’, and that’s Detroit. I’ll root for my current local team for their games, if Detroit isn’t involved. My dad is still a big LA Dodgers fan.
I saw the questions. 3 people gave me questions all at once and their full of tough ones. I might not get to them for a few days. But thanks.
oh, I’m used to the Indians sucking. I grew up to the Indians sucking. In fact, when we went to the Series twice in the 90s, that kinda weirded me out.
Ok, that’s fine on the questions… I figured you saw them, but just thought I’d point it out since you happened to be commenting…
