so, max1975 and I have talked about producing an indy comic for a while now, and we were talking this weekend and we think we have an idea for one. Only for the idea we have we need more people to work on it. So we’re looking for people who want to publish a comic book with us. People who are writers or artists or both and have some experience with comics so they understand styles and pacing and the like. Preferably (but not necessarilly) people who live in Pittsburgh. jameel, sui66iy and theadana, I’m looking in your general directions, but if other people are interested they should let me know too. Anyway, we’ve got some ideas that involve doing a series of somewhat related stories in different styles (both written and visual) and we want to get ir printed and published in time for Pittsburgh Comicon in April. So is anyone interested?

om
I’m up for it. We should meet up sometime.
yeah, we have a couple plans and were planning on setting up a meeting once we know who it is exactly we need to meet with. But among other things, we were considering maybe a test run of a 24 hour comic and then some brainstorming and such… we have a general direction we want to go in and some possible characters to work with, but not a whole lot really developed yet, so we’d be looking for a lot of input. Were you interested in writing too, or just drawing?
I wanna know when I’m gonna get superherofied.
yeah yeah yeah… i know… i suck…
ahem…
yeah, I actually thought of you as a possiblity, but 1) you’re not in Pittsburgh, which isn’t strictly necesessary, certainly makes things more difficult and 2) aren’t you pretty busy these days?
If you’re seriously interested though, we’ll certainly keep you in mind. (I’m guessing you were referring to writing, not art, right?)
Writing defintley.
I am not sure of the extent and nature of my busyness yet, but a comic kind of fits into the genre in terms of form to some extent, and may be good for me.
ok… I’ll let you know what we’re doing when we know what we’re doing.
I’m your huckleberry.
