on the roulette wheel of justice…

So in all the hoopla today about Scott Peterson being sentenced to death this afternoon, it appears that a lot of people might have missed the fact Robert Blake was also acquitted today of the charges of murdering his wife. Good for you Baretta. But now, on behalf of all black people in the United States of America, I would like to humbly and officially request that all you white people LEAVE US THE FUCK ALONE ABOUT OJ, NOW!!! Thank you.

And before someone starts spouting off about Mav being racist. I’d just like to point out that I’m the number one person pulling for Phil Spector to beat the rap. So nyah.

Do you honestly believe that the African-American population of this nation is so without a voice that they need our Chinese citizens to speak for them?

I am all in favor of taking care of our fellow humans and all, but let the people speak for themselves.

Ah, that joke is still funny. I do not know why, but it is still funny.

the thing is, celebrities that share my chinese heritage seem to have better sense than to get arrested for murdering their wives. So I’m stuck with defending my former race, the african americans. *shrug*

The difference is… OJ did it, Blake didn’t.

initially I was gonna go for the joke here, but I changed my mind and decided to answer seriously.

I’m not sure on either of those cases. I think OJ might have been innocent. I think Blake might have been guilty. It doesn’t matter though, its never gonna be over in either case, and that’s just stupid. My real point was that the OJ thing was 11 years ago. He was acquitted 10 years ago. And its still not over. It’ll never die. Let’s say OJ is innocent, then we’ve spent a decade torturing an innocent man for no good reason. Let’s say he did it and beat the rap, well, we’ve spent a decade torturing a guilty man for no good reason. Its accomplished nothing. She’s still dead. He’s still free. Its a waste of energy. The criminal justice system isn’t perfect. And even if it let a guilty man go free, the way the media harps on him actually only weakens the system further. If OJ is a killer and Blake is not, the fact that we think its ok to harp on OJ means its now ok to harp on Blake. And a year from now, it’ll be ok to harp on Spector, or any non-famous person who was wrongfully accused of a crime. If there is no escape for the innocent, then why bother with a criminal justice system in the first place?

I’m totally over hearing about OJ too, for what it’s worth. I’m with ya on that one.

I remain blissfully ignorant about the other case (other than having read the first link you posted and a few random comments in & around LJ that didn’t make any sense without knowing the context).

OT: I made some trading cards! I posted some in my journal. Let me know if you want to trade any…

heh… maybe if I ever got around to making some to trade you. At this point, I wouldn’t hold your breath though. I’ve barely got time to eat, much less draw. Blah. Life sucks sometimes.

Yikes! Well, I hope you can find some time to eat!!! Not eating SUX! And, you don’t gotta draw…that takes forever. Quicker art is A-OK. But, no pressure & no worries, the offer stands when you have more time. 🙂

            Your girlfriend is gorgeous!

Well, that’s it for now! Catch ya later!

Heh… nah, I can’t do art quickly. I’m hardly ever pleased with anything that I spend forever on. Quick would just piss me off.

Yes, she is… how did you know which pic was her?
