on taking photos…

So among other problems implicit with losing my hard drive, I also lost a lot of photos that I’d taken and hadn’t bothered to back up to either my server or flickr. Both candids and photoshoots(including most of my shots of both jameel and saturniakitty).

So at the very least, I guess its an excuse for me to once again pimp for photoshoot models. Who’s interested?
(I remember zombiesrah, ludimagist and marsinthestars had all expressed interest before. Its not my fault none of you live here).

Do you want me to make copies of the CDs for you?

Yeah, in your case in particular, what you see on flickr is all I have left.

Please keep mentioning this disaster regularly… every time it reminds me to do another backup.

My data is more safe now than it’s been in years.

I blame the man. The man is keeping me down.

I don’t live there either… I think you need to do a tour and come visit those of us far-flung friends you should be photographing. (and then say “far-flung photography” ten times fast)

If people want to raise money to send me on tour, that’d be great. I’m all for it. The 2005 Maverick World Tour. Coming LIVE to a city near you.

I’ll roll into town, do a couple photo shoots, throw a party or two, have sex with some groupies and roll out. It’ll be great. I’ll need a tour bus. And as it catches on, maybe people will start following me from city to city like they did with the Grateful Dead.

well, about a year ago I saw an ad selling the Electric Mayhem bus from the muppet movie (yes the actual bus, in running drivable condition).

That would make you a killer tour bus that I’d be mighty proud to follow ’round the country.

‘course I didn’t have the money for it then or I’d most certainly own it, and my crappy finances are of no help now to send you on tour in it (or anything else either). damn.

I’ve offered before, as well. But I’m in thesis hell, so I don’t know when the next time I’ll be in Pitt is.

It’d be such a great photo project though. This is a grad student hard at work. She used to be really hot, but note how the thesis has drained the beauty and the very life out of her eyes. She also used to have goregeous braids. She has ripped the out by the roots however and all that remains is a bald and bloody scalp.

      I could win a Pulitzer.
