on the return of the interview meme…

just when I think I’m out, they keep pulling me back in…

1. Leave me a comment saying, “Interview me.”
2. I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
3. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions

Answers to akiramich and nemesisn4sa‘s questions. kingdomjames never gave me his.

akiramich:
1. Ok at every IWC show, you always introduce Shima Xion by describing his outfits n’at. Have you ever wanted to go ‘Hey, MAV is looking pretty damn fine as well!’? And if so how would you describe your own look?

I thought about it once, but it doesn’t seem to fit quite right. I keep meaning to throw in one of his introductions something like “and the best looking man in the room… next to me!”

As for the look? Really as far as my wrestling character goes, I was extremely lazy. I just kinda started playing myself. More or less. Norm actually added the bit about me being rich. So the clothes tend to really be more or less my real life style and I sometimes bump it up a notch for showmanship. I’ve been kinda trying to pattern myself after the neo-gangsta hip hop look. Think Jay-Z, Puffy, Mase, etc.

2. How did you get into comics and what were the first comics you picked up?

When I was 7 years old I used to read a lot of fantasy novels and stuff. I was flying from Cleveland to Houston to visit my dad, and I had already read pretty much all of my books, so there wasn’t really anything to read for the flight. So my mom bought me a few comics. I was hooked by the time I landed. Spider-man, Thing, Fantastic Four and Hulk were in that first batch, I think. Spider-man was one of my early favorites.

3. If you could pick any opponent to work a match against, who would you want to work?

Hmm… Depends on what you mean by any opponent. If it has to be someone in IWC. I pick the Gambinos. Me and Shiima teaming against them. Mostly just cuz I like working against them from all the training we’ve done together. If it has to be a current “big name” I’d probably go with Chris Jericho. If it’s of all time, I gotta go with Ricky Steamboat. He was probably my earliest favorite wrestler, followed by Curt Henning. If its anyone ever, then maybe Bruce Lee. If I can take “liberties” in the match, then Trish Stratus.

4. Whats the deal with ‘Cop Rock’?

What? I liked Cop Rock. I seriously thought it was a highly entertaining show. It was all concept. And it was ahead of its time. If you think about it, the hottest things on the air today are American Idol and the 18 different Law & Order series (and CSI, etc). If it came out today, Cop Rock would be the most over show on the air.

5. What do you think I should get kingdomjames for his birthday?

A fine piece of my artwork from the elseworld galleries? Barring that, maybe a few boxes of Hero Clix.

nemesisn4sa:
1. unlike every other person i know, you don’t think angelina jolie is the hottest person to ever exist. so who is?

It’s totally a copout, but I have to say it depends. I really do change my mind a lot. Depending on my mood, and who I’ve seen recently and stuff like that. So like right now, Jessica Alba, Christina Millian and Sunrise Adams are pretty high on the list. beststephi tried to get me to make one of those “10 famous people we’re allowed to sleep with” lists, and I totally fail because I can’t make up mind. And that was just with currently hot and alive people. If I had to go ever, I’d have to deal with trying to match people up against the likes of Audrey Hepburn and Eartha Kitt. Really, sooner or later my head will just explode. So instead, I’ll just take this opportunity to piss off all the women who read this and like Depp by answering Greico.

2. do you believe that some people are secretly robots?

It would explain so much. But unfortunately no. Life would be so much more interesting if they were.

3. if you were to front a band, who would you be most compared to as far as musical style?

Prince. I’ve always wanted to be Prince.

4. what is your favorite type of dessert?

I’m limited since I pretty much can’t eat stuff with milk in it, so all ice cream based things are out. I love chocolate though. I really like brownies. Then there’s Children’s Delight cookies, which are a recipe of my Grandma’s.

5. if you could go back and live any part of your life over again, would you, and if so, what part?

Ir depends on what you mean by go back. There really aren’t any mistakes I’ve made that I’d go change. I have this whole thing about trying to not have any regrets. There are a few things I’d love to do again though. I really want to go back to school for instance, and I’d like to own a pinball machine again. I’d like to throw another awesome party and there are other things… most of which involve a whole lot of crazy sex.

I can’t believe I am doing this thing again. Anyway, who wants an interview?

      1. I want to be different and not ask tons of wrestling questions, so I’ll just ask one and get it out the way. Pick 5 IWC wrestlers (including me). Re-gimmick us. Give me new costumes, name changes (if necessary), personality, moves, theme music, whatever… but make them all new and original. For bonus points, tell me how you’d transition us from current character to new.

      2. You said somewhere that you wanted to do web design professionally. Why? What got you into it?

      3. What made you decide to be straight edge. What’s to keep you from deciding tomorrow that you aren’t.

      4. Ok, you sort of chimed in on my hot or not post, but you never really said… what makes you think a girl is hot?

      5. If you aren’t into the comic, why did you want to see Sin City so bad?

  2. April 7, 2005 at 10:52 pm

    Bring it.

      1. You’re jewish, obviously. How much do you think religion actually plays into your life on a day to day basis, however?

      2. So, you’re over 30 and in a PhD program. And you’ve pretty much been a student of one kind or another your entire life. So when you’re done with the doctorate, what then?

      3. I’m actually gonna give you a wrestling question. Say you were gonna be a wrestler. What would your gimmick be? What kinds of moves would you use? What theme music, etc?

      4. I only have 2 parties planned for this year so far. Aloha Jam and Jammy Jam. There’s always the chance of a Halloween Jam. But why don’t you plan a Jam for me. Give me an idea for a Maverick Jam theme party. Costumes? Decorations? Prizes?

      5. So when are you gonna learn to play tennis anyway?

  3. April 7, 2005 at 10:55 pm

aright, I’ll bite. Yet again. 🙂

      1. You know you’re pretty cute for a woman of 75. How did you get into so much old film and music and such?

      2. I know you fancy yourself a stage actress as opposed to screen, but I’m gonna make you work for this. A network has optioned you for a sitcom vehicle starring and developed by you. What’s it like? Plot, style? Where’s it take place? Who else is on it? Give me a pilot synopsis or something.

      3. If not an actress, what would you be, and why?

      4. What will constitute making it as an actress? Where do you want to be in 10 years?

      5. And for the non-acting question, I’m going to give you the same opportunity that I gave . I only have 2 parties planned for this year so far. Aloha Jam and Jammy Jam. There’s always the chance of a Halloween Jam. But why don’t you plan a Jam for me. Give me an idea for a Maverick Jam theme party. Costumes? Decorations? Prizes?

      1. What do you want to be when you grow up? Give me two answers. One which is in the most perfect circumstances, and the other that is more realistic.

      2. This one is gonna seem really easy at first, but it really isn’t. You’ve been talking about being lonely a lot since you’ve been home. So if you had to choose which would you pick: Seeing Jeremy every day for exactly an hour for the rest of your life, but no one else ever ever again, or never seeing Jeremy ever again, but having tons of other people to hang out with all day and not having to be lonely. Which do you pick and why?

      3. What made you get interested in piercings?

      4. What do you think happens when you die?

      5. Ooh, you’re journal is friends only.! Tell me a juicy wild kinky sex secret.

  5. April 8, 2005 at 2:24 am

children’s delight cookies don’t contain real children do they?

    1. mav
      April 8, 2005 at 6:34 am

Its a secret family recipe. I can neither confirm nor deny the presence of children in the cookies.

(was that an interview request or no?)

          1. Why nemesisn4sa? Were you a big GI Joe fan?

          2. So we disagree on Angelina. That’s fine. But what is it about her that you think IS so attractive. Who are the next 4 women and 5 guys on that list (HAWTEST PEOPLE EVAR!!!!)

          3. What really bad movie do you really love? What really good movie do you really hate? And why?

          4. I don’t know you all that well. Tell me the single most interesting thing about you. And for that matter tell me the most mundane boring thing about you too.

          5. Who was your first crush? How old were you? How did it turn out?

      1. I just used this question on the last person, but I like it, so I’m doing it again. Who was your first crush? How old were you? How did it turn out?

      2. Give me the pitch for Jameel the comic book in five different genre’s. I want title, theme, style, art style, basic plot, setting, time period, costumes, if relevant. Maybe even some recurring characters and villains and what not.

      3. Same deal for the Maverick comic book. The genres can be different.

      4. Is Halle Berry still the highest rated person on the milliHalle scale? Explain the scale for those who aren’t in the know and give me some benchmarks.

      5. When you’re trying to be cool and smooth and such, who do you pattern yourself after? Who do you look up to as an ideal? Why? How do you think that’s going?

  7. April 8, 2005 at 6:13 am

I can’t believe I’m doing this again, either!

      1. So you’re in grad school now? You worked hard to get there, and you seem pretty happy with it. But do you ever just want to give it all up and go work at McDonalds or something? Not necessarilly McDs. But you know, the whole American Beauty, job with little or no responsibility thing.

      2. We went shopping a couple times. You seemed kinda resistent to the whole fashion thing at first and ten sort of seemed to be getting into it. Where are you at with regards to that these days?

      3. Are you coming back for Aloha Jam? Jammy Jam? Are you gonna dress up this time?

      4. What do you most miss about Pgh? What about CMU?

      5. You get to take a break from Alex and run away for a sexy, exotic, romantic weekend with anyone else on the face of the earth. But then it ends, and you go back to Alex, never to mention the whirlwind affair again. Who do you go with? Where do you go? What do you do?

      1. I used this one for JTM, but I like it, so you get it too: I want to be different and not ask tons of wrestling questions, so I’ll just ask one and get it out the way. Pick 5 IWC wrestlers (including me). Re-gimmick us. Give me new costumes, name changes (if necessary), personality, moves, theme music, whatever… but make them all new and original. For bonus points, tell me how you’d transition us from current character to new.

      2. You can have any one super power. Which do you pick and why?

      3. What is the greatest movie of all time? What is the worst?

      4. I gave this one to someone else to, but I like it: Give me the pitch for Andy the comic book in five different genre’s. I want title, theme, style, art style, basic plot, setting, time period, costumes, if relevant. Maybe even some recurring characters and villains and what not.

      5. Same question, but for Maverick, the comic book.

  9. April 8, 2005 at 6:52 am

hey you don’t know me at all… interview me anyway. *bored*

      1. You pop in and comment from time to time, but you don’t actually know me. What makes you read my LJ. What makes you comment on some things and not others. From previous things you said, I was surprised you DIDN’T comment on the hot or not post. Why?

      2. So you’re a freshman in college. How’s that going? What do you think you want to do with the rest of your life.

      3. Outside of having a boyfriend who is a wrestler, do you actually care about it at all. If fell off the edge of the planet tomorrow, would you still watch or go to shows?

      4. You can have any one super power. Which do you pick and why?

      5. Tell me the single most interesting thing about you. And for that matter tell me the most mundane boring thing about you too.

      1. April 8, 2005 at 3:13 pm

        1. You pop in and comment from time to time, but you don’t actually know me. What makes you read my LJ. What makes you comment on some things and not others. From previous things you said, I was surprised you DIDN’T comment on the hot or not post. Why? I read your journal because I always click on Paul’s friends link on his journal. When I comment, it’s usually when you post something about pop-culture or celebrities. I’m very interested in celebrities. I plan to interview them/write about/talk about them as a living some day. And I was going to comment that entry but I was in a hurry. I think cuteness is attractiveness + innocence whereas hottness is actractiveness + sex appeal. You’d want to kiss some one cute; you’d wanna knock boots with someone hott. And I think people can be both cute & hot. 🙂

        2. So you’re a freshman in college. How’s that going? What do you think you want to do with the rest of your life. I absolutely LOVE college. It’s crazy and it keeps me busy and challenged. High school was so easy it bored me and I slacked off. I’m making awesome friends, getting to do great things and I’m making the best grades I ever have in my life. (straight As first semester) I plan to be a broadcaster, I want to go into cable though. Like I said before, I’d rather report on pop culture/celebrities than the 11:00 news.

        3. Outside of having a boyfriend who is a wrestler, do you actually care about it at all. If jasongory fell off the edge of the planet tomorrow, would you still watch or go to shows? When I was younger I was the biggest WWF fan ever. Other girls played with Barbis, i played w/ ninja turtles & wrestling action figures. When I played house, I was Elizabeth (i think) and married to Randy Savage. Anyhoo… I still kind-of like wrestling but I’m sorry to say that I’m not very in to indy wrestling. I need to hear a commentator I guess. But if Jason Gory disapeared, I may still go to a show if someone asked me.

        4. You can have any one super power. Which do you pick and why? Ever watch Alex Mack on nickelodeon? She could move things by just concentrating on them. I’d pick that because I’m lazy and don’t like to get up to get the things I want. Flying would be cool too.

        5. Tell me the single most interesting thing about you. And for that matter tell me the most mundane boring thing about you too. The most interesting thing about me is my travels and experiences w/ celebrities. Jim Carrey has jumped on my head, Wayne Newton kissed me and ordered me a drink, I met Bret Hart, RVD, Shawn Michaels, Tyra Banks (kinda), Jim Belushi, and countless bands. Plus I’ve been all over America. I think the most boring thing about me is my personal appearance. Average height, average weight, blonde hair, brown eyes… Barely any one ever remembers meeting me.

      1) I’ve known you for I guess, like 12.5 years. How does your life compare now to what you thought it would be like then?

      2) What do you think you’ll be doing in 12.5 more years? What will your life be like then?

      3) Are you guys gonna have kids? Why or why not?

      4) You’re ruler for a day. What three laws do you enact(or repeal, whatever) that will remain enforced after your reign is over.

      5) What’s the single absolute best thing about your wife?

      1. April 13, 2005 at 11:46 am

Those were good questions. Responses here.
