on stupid frozen food instructions…

on what fucking planet do the dumbasses at pillsbury live, wherein they honestly seem to believe that anyone opens up a box of Totinos Pizza Rolls (which come in backs of approx. 15. Mine had 17) and cook 7-8 rolls at a time in the microwave as instructed by the “helpful” directions on the side of the box? Am I intended to somehow reseal the box and eat the other rolls tomorrow or at some other later date? Or is this just intended to annoy me?

the instructions are wrong, you’re just supposed to eat all fifteen. but if you must save some for tomorrow, just stick the box back in the freezer. trust me, they won’t go bad because it isn’t sealed.

i normally get a bag of ~40 and eat half, close the bag with a rubber band, and eat the rest later…

oh, don’t get me wrong. I do eat all 15, I’m just annoyed because they have the indignity to insult my intelligence by claiming that I am somehow supposed to only cook half of them.

well, the microwaving actually does work a little better with just 7 or 8. But I think it’s mostly a pretense that pizza rolls are a snack, when in reality, they’re a meal.

yep…m I mean, really they’re even a good meal… so much more nutritious than just having the beer by itself.

maybe some people just eat half and it’s a meal?

    …I’m just sayin’

well, that’s what I’m asking see. But I have a hard time believing that. Two reasons. First, they just really aren’t that filling. They’re like tiny and stuff. It’d be like eating a single cup of rice and calling it a meal. That’s not a meal. Its a side. I guess you could argue that pizza rolls are meant to be a side or a snack, but even then, there’s no way to close the box once its open, so you can’t really save the other half for later. The best you could do would be to split them with a friend, but in that case, you’d also want to cook the whole box.

Really, I think its totally so they can claim there are two servings for FDA info, but even then, they’re being lame. Plenty of stuff has multiple servings in it, but has reasonable cooking instructions on the side.

well, maybe *some people* would wrap the open end of the box in plastic wrap or tin foil and put it back in the freezer for another night when they are looking for a quick meal and aren’t that hungry.
