Again this one is good because it includes so much of the sculpture. The band is small in the corner- the angle is cool though.

Coldraine: thanx. But it is on a tripod. the tilt is intentional. Or does it look shaky to you? It is kind of soft from a longer exposure.

I like the effect overall, but the faces (particularly the two nearest the light) are over-exposed. You might try to dodge them a bit.

    Great lightening, and nice angle.

erikogan: you think? I’m actually worried that Bryon (the sitting boy) might be a little too overexposed. I kind of like Lisa (the girl, obviously) being blown out though.

You may be right. She might be ok if he wasn’t so over-exposed. (And yes, they should be a bit over-exposed, but IMNSHO that’s too much. Others may disagree.)

I’d like to see this in a larger size…as I think that may help. As it stands I share the concerns about overexposure and I think, from looking at the soft lines on the steel beams, the facial features lack the detail you probably want for a poster or CD cover. But the larger image size may prove me wrong. Composition and lighting are hits, though! From the 1-2-3 (no per day limitations)-group

face details are kinda soft i guess for a mix of long exp which burns the lights and long exp which always makes humas a little micro-shaky… how long was the exp? should see it larger

viewmaker: yeah, I can see your point there. My biggest problem with it is that even at huge blow up size, so much of the detail of them is lost that it isn’t perfect for a band picture. Yet, I think having the wider shot with the structure adds so much over the tighter shot that I took just before.

coldraine: thanks for the feedback. Exposure was 1/10s.
