Day 10 of 365 days. And back to silly artistic wankery. I actually had this idea a couple days ago, but it wasn’t til tonight that I really felt like going into my basement and playing a solo game of pool. There were a couple shots that I really liked and I couldn’t make up my mind, so I ultimately decided on a diptych.
Out of curiosity I wonder if people like one shot better than the other and feel that I should have posted them solo (which I did, they’re in my stream) or if you like them better together like so.
For the record, I won. I beat myself soundly and then gloated.

nice
Actually, I kind of like the one to the right. The old thing about how the anticipation is better than the actual event?

He he. Must of been a serious game!

Of the two I like thge one on the right, but I think both need to go back to the planning stage as they do not really jump of the page at me.
Gosh. I like both! One is really intense (the left) and the right one is full of action. Decisions…. decisions…. lol

Perfect application of the diptych, love it. The two shots need each other, the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.

I like the dyptich idea
great idea and nice motion bluring. good work.

The motion one (which, oddly, is on the right on my screen–I can only assume that either I’ve got some odd mirror effect on my screen, or that people in Hit Miss or Maybe didn’t learn their directions yet) is a lot nicer.
nice layout, i like the spilt image
best viewd large!
Really great together! Love ’em!

I think this is really neat: with the diptych its easy to see where you hit.

It’s the original idea I particularly like, but also the end result.

Nice idea – like the right hand sided image – would have been better of the left hand side had been fully sharp

original idea! a fave!

Give us a good sense of action.
1-2-3
@wooble: yes, the motion one is on the right.
@Lothann: good eye. You appear to be the first person who noticed the unlikely position of the 4 ball. A continuity mistake of mine.
Great idea, and well executed too. You’ve done well there, a genuinely thought provoking, and modern picture.
Have a well deserved ace.

cool idea. i like that you posted them as a diptych, but if you’re asking…i like the one on the left better for a self-portrait but i like the one on the right better just as a photograph. i think you’re wearing a shirt AGAIN!
@Zanes Mom: its a shirt, but its not much of one. I wanted to wear something that would help me blend into the background. I promise I’ll get back to being half naked soon.
nice motion! 3:1
I love the second one!
