Day 34 of 365 days.
The seventh and final day of Bringing Back the Sexy. Sometimes its really nice to feel like I have my 365 pic done early and I just don’t have to worry about it the entire next day. I guess I’ll be kinda disappointed if I happen upon doing something really great in the next 23 hours and 7 minutes. But oh well.
I actually had the idea of taking a picture in a storm pretty much from the very beginning of this project, but I never had the time and the oppotunity to jump on it til just now. When It started really pouring down a couple hours ago I was sitting there thinking "PLEASE let it last til midnight!" Sadly, its really hard to actually capture the rain unless its really coming down hard and you have really good lighting. I had a streetlight, and a desire to get the shots done as quickly as possible so as not to ruin my camera. I want to do that at some point in the next 11 months. I want to get a torrential downpour with water splashing off me in every direction. The kind of thing that will likely give me pneumonia. But for now, this is what I have. But for now, this is what I got. I kind of like the lens flare from the streetlight. I used to really love lens flares. I have thus far resisted the temptation to add a gratuitous one to a pic in post. But I like how this one turned out, and thus didn’t crop it out.
Oh yeah, and I here by officially declare sexy to be back. Now I can concentrate on something else. Maybe I’ll bring back disco or something next.

this one is great…we’ve got the downpour now, during the day…but since my camera is broken (and i don’t wish to break my mothers) i am sadly going to have to wait for my rain shot (which I also have been secretly planning for a while…) i can/have tried it from placing my camera in the kitchen window sill and then going outside, but it’s never the right background, etc… oh well…i’ll figure it out.

in my little world where everything revolves around me….hahaha….this is totally sucessful!! this is the kind of shot that i was hoping you’d get to by the end of the week. it says MAN and SEXY in the most expected way. the gaze is perfect, and the slight obscuring of the face really lends to the mystery of the man. great job!!
