Day 45 of 365 days.
As much as I like the 400D better than my old G3, I gotta say that its a lot easier to take a self portrait with the older camera. I never really used the LCD screen when photographing other stuff, but it was always useful if I wanted to shoot myself. No such luck with a DSLR. Took me forever to find a shot that was the way I wanted. But hey, that’s what photography is all about, right?
I sent out a mini challenge to the 365 group to copy cat someone else’s photo. Since it was my challenge, I figured I should probably do it. SO this is based on a pic that I have loved for a long time. This shot by Krissie P. Thanks for inspiring me, Krissie.
Hmmm… maybe I’ll copy someone else tomorrow.

i like it…i have to be honest and say that i still like krissie p’s better….maybe it’s got something to do with just one eye being shown and the shadows on her face. not sure…but this is still great!
nah, that’s fair. I like her’s better too. I think it also helps that her eye color is better for contrast with the B&W than mine is. My eyes are REALLY dark. I even lightened them for this, but if I did it too much, it wouldn’t be recognizable as me anymore.
