I had been meaning to make and entry in my blog about something I was thinking about all week. I had been putting it off and decided that I should write it up tonight. Which of course didn’t leave much time for self-portraiting. But then I figured, why not take a picture of me blogging. It is my favorite passtime, after all. So here’s me typing in my blog. Something I do at least once a week, and yet hadn’t appeared here yet.
Funny thing about blogging. A couple years ago, I used to write in LJ every single day. In fact, I made a note at one point of how proud I was to have gone 152 consecutive days without missing a post. Back then most of what I wrote about was basically how my day went, but as I gathered more and more readers, mostly due to my commentary on media, world events, and general things that bothered me enough to rant on, I started feeling like it was better to abandon the diary approach and keep mostly to talking about those topics of more general interest. Of course now, 62 days into this project I realize that I’m basically blogging about my life again. I just hope you all find it interesting.
And if you don’t find it interesting, or even if you do, feel free to jump over to my primary blog and read today’s post and share you thoughts on fake boobies with me.
a mac!
I was expecting B&W!
i am going to read your blog now.
sweet
I thought it looked better in color. I like the blue of the screen.
colour is better
just used to seeing B&W from you for a week now
i enjoyed the blog.
i need to do a proper blog sometime
thanx… is that your anonymous comment on it?
yeah, i couldn’t work out how to put my name on without joining. I’m going to read the others when I have time
though you post on myspace as well,
that’s where i usually post 365 days at the moment
some people just type their names at the bottom. Alternatively you can get an OpenID and use it on LJ and some other website. Or, as you noticed, I generally crosspost everything to myspace. At least when I remember to.
The "my blog" link goes to chrismaverick.com, which in turn goes to redir-error.gandi.net/, a French/English placeholder page saying there’s nothing on that domain yet.
oops… thanx. I fixed it. Blah, I should really make the chrismaverick.com link redirect to the right place, or better yet actually put a page there.
What, no QWERTY? *grin*
I started blogging like that, too, although now I write a mix of personal, politics, and religion. Lately I’ve been considering letting go of my blog all together. I’ve been blogging for four years – it might be time to look at other options.
I’ll check out your blog later on, when the boy is napping….
@peskymac: What do you mean? Its a qwerty keyboard.
I don’t think I’ll ever give up the blogging. If i could give up my real job and be a full time blogger, I’d do it in a second. I much prefer doing that to pretty much anything I ever have to do professionally. I once said "people always tell me to watch what I blog, because it could affect me professionally. But I only work so I can afford to blog"
@sassyshannon999: wonderful. I look forward to seeing your response.
a real "work" of "art" 🙂
@pi c’s: hmmm… what do you mean?
seriously? i mean, you work on computers, you LOVE to blog and you take photos for artsake…it’s a "real ‘work’ of ‘art’ "
get it ?
oh… I see, you’re responding to my response, not to the pictures.
yeah, I hate computers. I only work so i can afford to do all the other crap I like. If you ever see a job posting for a professional blogger, let me know.
