I had to make a CD of some of my design work for a job I applied for. They want to do a portfolio review. I was hoping to get a clearer reflection of myself in the CD but oh well. Like I said, I’m trying to be a little more experimental with some of these.
It occurs to me how amazing it is the way in which data storage has changed since I started using computers 25 years ago. I used to store several programs and files on a cassette tape or 360K disk. I couldn’t imagine even a meg of storage space. Now I can’t imagine having a file that would fit in 360K of space. I sometimes find myself feeling like a DVD-ROM with only 4.7 gigs is too small. How long will it be before a 50 GB Blu-Ray disk seems inconsequential.
