Day 178 of 365 days.
It was a tough day in Pittsburgh. Last night it got down to -4 degrees Fahrenheit (-20C for metric weenies). I woke up this morning with an upset stomach, only to discover that my hot water pipes had frozen. How the hot water pipe froze and the cold water pipe remained okay is a mystery to me. Steph decided to just work from home, and I didn’t even bother to change out of my PJs. So I basically relaxed today and waited for the the pipes to melt to a usable state while editing the last of my Liz photoshoot (the lingerie shots, which will undoubtedly get 10 times as many views as any of my 365 shots, but very few comments, so please go over there and give me opinions).
When the pipes finally melted I took a shower and celebrated it by… that’s right… getting right back into my jammies and drinking a warm cup of tea (Darjeeling, finest of all the worlds great teas. Says so right on the box. I highly recommend it). Hopefully I’ll feel better tomorrow.
Oh, and yes. I am wearing fleece superman pajamas. What of it?

Darjeeling IS the best tea in the world 😉 My favorite anyway…so it must be the best ;-P
Sorry about the pipes…that sucks!!! Doesn’t really sound logical to me either…but then again when things go wrong with a house, none of it ever really seems too logical!
It got colder here in B’more last night…but not much…we were at about -10F (-23.333 for the "metric weanies") with the wind chill factor (though maybe you weren’t counting that in your temps…
Now, give the kid back his jammies…it’s too cold to go without them!!

@Jen: Yeah, that was the actual temperature. Earlier in the day we had a -19F with windchill but it was 2F actual then. I don’t know what it finally got down to. Today we’re supposed to have a high of a nice warm 12. But its still currently -1. Haven’t checked with wind today at all.
Pajamas are for the weak!

hot tea is best idea when it is bitterly cold.
