Day 181 of 365 days.
I originally actually had a different idea for today’s shot but I never got to it because I was busy thinking about my next photo project. Rather than just rush to finish my highly photoshop intensive idea and do a substandard job, I decided to take a picture detailing my new idea.
The Tarot.
I am going to shoot a Tarot deck. 78 different shots. 78 different ideas. One cohesive style. This will probably take me a while, but it should be exciting. I’m looking forward to it. Of course, there’s one really hard part. I’m going to need models. Like 78 of them. Actually probably more since some cards are going to need multiple people. I posted to my blog looking for models, and got a decent number of responses, but I’m still going to need more. Wonder if I’ll be able to get a whole 78. In any case, anyone reading this who lives in Pittsburgh, or is likely to be here, and wants to be shot for it as well, let me know.
I have thought about doing this so many times. It’s a huge project. I wish you the best of luck! I’m excited to see what you come up with.

That’s such a great idea! Wish I lived in the vicinity – I would certainly volunteer. I’d love to do the Hanging Man card.

@sarah: yep. This is going to take me a while, so yes, by all means if you come up for the spring or summer party, I’ll still be working on it. And of course, once I get things going, they’ll be posted. This could take forever though.

Sounds like a very ambitious, but very interesting project. Can’t wait to see how it turns out. I like the look in your eyes in this shot. And the fact that we can see the tatttoo.

why on earth have you always wanted to come to Pittsburgh? I mean, I like it here, but I’m surprised when other people say that.
well, as long as you don’t need all 78 people at one time, i’m sure you won’t have a problem getting your goal. I am volunteering, I’m sure that in the next 78 days I’ll be getting up to visit Shannon….I hope anyway! But, I want to be The Empress …it’s a big thing to ask, especially since Shannon already claimed The High Priestess , but I’m sure Steph and she will duel it out for that position….but, yes, Empress por moi ;D
Of course, if you can’t give me that position….I would agree to The World or even a position in Three of Cups. Technically, I should be The Moon since Pisces is the ruling sign…but it doesn’t seem an appropriate card to WANT to be depicted in. Of course, I really have no idea what you’re planning on doing…. but since I’ve been completely long winded here… To say it simply, I am very excited about your idea and can’t wait to a) help or b) see the finished products!!!
