Day 184 of 365 days.

Now usually I don’t do this… I don’t generally like to be flickr referential in my 365 pics since ultimately I’m not really taking them for flickr but because I want to have a nice little coffee table book done after a year. But when I was posting last night I noticed that I was edging up on 100,000 views. I wasn’t sure when I’d go over the mark, and since I had a wrestling show today, I figured I wouldn’t actually be on when it happened. But when I got home and started looking at the web and thinking about my 365 shot, I found that I was at 99,991. I thought, ok, celebrating this would make a great shot. But it was after 11. And I was getting worried. I kept watching the counter, but those last 9 views just came in sooooo slowly. I was worried that they might not roll in til after 12, but I was lucky. Right at 11:17 I clicked over from 99,999 to 100,001. I guess somewhere in the world two people viewed my stream at the same time. Ah well. Close enough.

I wanted to get this celebrating my stream shot in because, frankly, as this project has become a big part of my life, flickr has become so as well. There is no doubt that the 365 community is a big part of what’s granted me a lot of page views. I don’t think I was even half way there 6 months ago.

Yesterday I discussed my thoughts on my personal growth through this project. Contrasted with the day before where I discussed my feelings on the community that I created. But today I’d simply like to offer my thanks to everyone, 365ers and simply viewers who have made me feel like this project, while only half over, is a success.
