I got home very late last night from that old lady’s house that I mentioned yesterday. I wish someone had warned me about her. She wanted to do unspeakable things. Just unspeakable!
Anyway, it was another productive day for FUNemployed Mav. I talked to a couple different recruiters about jobs. And I worked on the paper that I’m presenting in August. I editted some photoshoot pics, and did two of my Class with Dave assignments (this shot is me setting up one of those shots). This productive stuff is kinda weird. I haven’t even had time to sit down and veg out and play video games in a while. I’m not sure what I’m going to do when I actually get a job. When am I going to find the time to work on all of this stuff?
The other weird thing I’m noticing is this picture is in color. Most of the time my random "day in the life" 365 shots are in B&W and I reserve color for when I want to make a statement about color or something like that. In any case, they tend to be posed shots. But for some reason, today and yesterday I felt like using color even though they really were just mundane day in the life shots. I’m breaking all the rules here. Perhaps I’m growing as an artist or something.
Not just color, grasshopper, RED! You win! (wink wink)

Seen in my contacts’ photos. (?)
Does everyone but me have a pool table?????
Cool shot…I like color 😉
woohoo, color!
@lrayholly: yeah, there’s an old tenet of art. If you can’t make it good, make it big. If you can’t make it big, make it red.
@PhotoKat: feel free to come by and play anytime. I’m sure the plane ticket would be much cheaper than going to a local bar. Ok, maybe not, but I’m here, and I’m awesome. (wondering if I should not tell you about all the other fun stuff Steph and I have at our house. You’ll be super jealous)
@max1975: don’t get used to it. Its only a phase. It won’t last.
Cool shot, Mav, and nothing wrong with adding a little color every once in a while. 😉
Kat, I don’t have a pool table either. 😀
@sadandbeautiful (Sarah): you’re also welcome to come by and play whenever you want, Sarah. You even live closer.
i’m not too good…but i’ll play whenever i finally meet ya!
@pi c’s: hopefully I’ll have my new bedroom done, by then which would mean that all my studio stuff will be out of the basement and in the guest room which would mean there would be more room to play pool.
But half the fun of playing on your table is having a perfectly easy shot made nearly impossible because you can’t get into position to take it. 😛
@wooble: did you ever actually play on my table? I don’t remember. Hmm… maybe I’ll get some cool death traps to sprinkle around there, just to make things interesting.
I’ve played on it several times. Most recently I played a few games against extremely drunk people at Mavapalooza, only one of which I actually won.
@wooble: oh cool… I never got a chance to play at Mavapalooza. I should go down there and play more often. I feel like I’m wasting it.
It would probably get more use if it was closer to your bar.
Of course, there’s really nowhere good to put it upstairs, no good place to put your bar downstairs, and, uh, good luck moving either one up or down those stairs even if there was room…
