Day 197 of 365 days.
Gotta love technology.
Went to a violin recital with Steph and her family to see her nephew play. At the risk of sounding like an ass, let me say what the biggest problem with kids recitals is. They’re not really that good. I mean sure some of the kids are good. And sure, if you have an emotional connection to one of the kids (as I do, with Ethan) it doesn’t matter if he sounds like Mozart or Jackyl. And I definitely enjoyed watching him play. The problem is that there were like 20 other kids that I didn’t know at all, of varying degrees of skill, and most of them played (or tried to play) the EXACT SAME SONG! So after a couple hours I was really starting to get bored with it. What do I do when I’m bored? I think about 365. I swear, this project is starting to consume my life.
Anyway, for moments of boredom like this, its great to have a smartphone so that I can get some quality web browsing in and check out the streams of other 365ers that I enjoy. At this moment I was looking at today’s shot by the lovely and talented PhotoKat. I was struck to take a shot of it for 365 because 1) I absolutely love Kat’s photography. And 2) I have a much publicized school girl fetish. My hand has never looked so pretty.

That’s hilarious! I totally thought of you when I saw her SP in my contacts tonight! How sad is that? I see those fine legs and I think ‘Mav will love that one’. LoL!
And I feel ya on the recital. Thank god my son is into sports instead of music.

Yes son, sad to say, I saw her pic & thought of you too. Poor Steph, she either has to put up with you or buy a school girl outfit…sigh.
As for recitals – ha! Deal with it! Goes with the territory – everybody else’s kid sucks. Your’s is the only one with talent! Trust me, it’s even worse when it’s your own kid! So Go Ethan!

And yeah, I totally understand the recital thing. I just wasn’t willing to be all delusional about it and pretend that everyone was good. At least not here.
