Day 233 of 365 days.

Ok, I’ve definitely become a camera slob. Didn’t feel like using my DSLR yesterday or today so I fell back on the G4. I hate this picture. I’m not fond of yesterday’s. I’m just terribly aware of every technical inadequacy.

Anyway, slept in today after spending all last night putting together Ikea furniture. Finished up this morning. Now I just have to wait for the mattress to get here. I’m quite excited about that.

After that I left to watch Wrestlemania with friends. Snapped this shot on my way out of the house. As far as the biggest wrestling event of the year goes, it was kind of boring, but its ‘mania and that’s always something.

Next week is my conference in Boston, which means a couple of things. One, I’ll probably be having a lot of candid shots and not so many high photoshop or well thought out studio pics. And two, I really need to finish that paper of mine soon as time is running out (I’m actually in pretty good shape on it, but guess what I’ll be working on all day tomorrow).

    See, you hate this and I really like it. I like it because it’s Real. Sometimes it’s nice to just strip it down to the real deal without all the planning and enhancements. I really do like this. Raw Mav.

    @lrayholly: oh, I don’t hate the shot. I hate the quality.

    hmm, how many megapixels is the G3?

    I have to say, it’s not bad but you’re right the quality from your other shots is definitely better. perhaps the lights? perhaps the camera? i know that when/if i get a dslr of my own i will still HAVE to have a good p&s b/c I can’t imagine having to use a big one ALL the time…it would take some of the fun out of it for me.

    @pi c’s: only 4.0. Yeah, I kept the G3 knowing that sometimes I wouldn’t want to deal with the bigger camera. Still, I’m just getting to where I don’t like it as much.

    @lrayholly: no problem
