Had my interview today. I guess it went ok. I’m not totally enthused about the job, but I can do it. Actually, I could probably do it in my sleep. It seems kind of boring and monotonous really. And its kind of corporate. Not very creative. Really, its the kind of soul sapping rat race stuff I hate.
But I need a job, and if they offer it to me, I’ll probably be forced to take it. *sigh*
Or maybe I’ll not get it, and I’ll be a drifter any day now.
Well, while I’m still a bum, best to be as creative as possible. The Tarot project is going well, I’ve heard from even more models, and I got a nice blog written yesterday about MPAA ratings and Flickr ratings (would love anyone’s comments on that if you’re so inclined).
This post was going to be funnier when I started writing it.
Enjoy your bum days while you’ve got them. A boring, soul-sapping job will come along soon enough. The good thing about those though, is that you don’t feel as bad to keep looking for new jobs.

Seen on your photo stream. (?)
@Travelinjim: actually, that’s another problem with it. It’s yet another contract job (i’m more or less trapped in contract jobs, I’ve been trying to find a full time one) which means a couple things, one, I don’t like to leave before contracts are up. It’s kind of bad business, even if I don’t like it, and two, I don’t get days off to look for other jobs/interview anyway. *sigh*
Stop biting your lip. Yeah, I know, life sucks. I could’ve told you that long ago… but it goes on. The sun will come up tomorrow, bet your bottom dollar that… oh sorry.
The good news is that boring, soul-sapping jobs pay bills… sigh Unlike boring, soul-sapping obligations (like mine) that don’t pay! Thank goodness for hobbies.
Soul sapping… wow. Sounds delightful. 😉
And the last line made it very funny…

Your t-shirts crack me up. I’m either tired or dyslexic beause I read soul raping sap race. Actually, neither sound pleasant. And I’m not sure what a sap race is, but I bet it’s really slow.
@lrayholly: I’m tired of life sucking. I’ve tried it. It’s gone on long enough. It’s not working for me. I think I’d like to give happiness a try now.
@Christy9799: not to me it doesn’t. And thank you.
@Kungfukitten: that made me smile. Thank you.
Aw buck up Mav…….there’s always Plan B.
😉
How is emergency contraception going to help him?
If jobs didn’t sap your soul, they wouldn’t have to pay you to do them; they’d make you pay them instead.

@wooble: that’s a defeatist attitude. There are plenty of people with happy jobs.
yes, suck up the last vestiges of freedom in case you get this job. and, you know, it won’t be the end of the world (though it may feel like it) if you have to sell out and take a job that you’ll hate….you can always keep looking when you start and possibly not stay there very long. sometimes, it seems, things happen when you already have something else going on….maybe you need this crapola job just to find the dream job you seek.
Good luck Mav!
Another funny t-shirt from you 😀
@pi c’s: not really, as I told Jim, its actually really hard to look for another job while I’m under contract. Anyway, I just spoke with my recruiter about it, and basically told her that while I’m not saying no, I’m not terribly enthusiastic about it. We’ll see how it goes.
best of luck to you, my dear
i know how it is…
muy buena! y perdon por postear uno de mis dibujos, fue una equivocacion, saludos.
@*chomchom*: thanks. I’m feeling better today.
