How about street walker for my new career? It seemed to work out tonight.
So this morning I shot my friend Jameel for the Tarot deck. He’ll be the Tower card for the major arcana. But I still needed a nice tower background for it.
Unfortunately I didn’t really have time to go looking for one because Steph and I had to go to her parents house for her dad’s birthday. Spent the evening there, having a nice chicken dinner and then headed home. It was late and getting dark so I decided to head out around town and see if I could find some nice towering churches to use for a background. I didn’t see a good one, so I just picked an ok one and stood on a street corner trying to get a good shot.
That’s when my friend Lisa just happened to drive by. She pulled her car over and asked me what the hell I was doing standing on a street corner taking pictures. When I told her, she got excited (Lisa is really into the idea of my Tarot deck) and told me she had some great churches that I should look at for the shot. So we spent a couple hours driving around talking and snapping pictures. As it was getting late and I still didn’t have a 365 shot, I asked her to pose in one with me. This is the second time Lisa has been a part of this project. She, or at least her legs, were featured way back on day 86. It’s nice to have her face in it now, which is just as hot.
Wow… I can’t believe that her shoot was almost 200 days ago. It’s amazing how much this project changes your reckoning of time.
Cool shot, it’s nice she happened by to add a little something extra today 😉
@PhotoKat: yep… and also extremely nice of her to spend the evening driving around looking at buildings with me.
That kind of sounds like a really fantastic spontaneous moment.. And really, you’ve got 365 to thank for having this to remember it! 🙂 The picture turned out lovely.
@askahba: yeah… I really like the way this project serves as a visual diary of my life. It’s great looking back on things and seeing how my year has gone. Glad you like it. Thank you.
Wow, I have no idea where this shot was taken.
😀
That’s a cool story. I’m glad it was a friend that happened to pull over to ask what the hell you were doing! Nice pic too 😉
@MegaBee: In shadyside, not far from where we used to live.
@pi c’s: 🙂
@lrayholly: well, had it been a stranger, I maybe could have made a few bucks. 🙂
