This is also the first time in the deck that I have resorted to using stock footage. I have been against it for the most part, preferring to only use my own images, but I don’t seem to have a way of getting far enough out into the atmosphere to get a decent earth picture, so I was forced to rely on NASA to do it for me. The image is of course public domain. But still, it would have been nice to only use my own images. I suppose I could have left the background empty on this card, but I kind of felt like the four astronomy cards (World, Moon, Sun, Star) worked better with mild backgound elements. So the compromise is there.
om
So, will you be selling these tarot cards when you are finished because I so want a set.
@Rachel.::.K: I hope so… Once I get enough done, I’ll shop it around for a publisher. Glad you like it, thanks.
Well, I think the compromise was a good idea. It worked out really well!
@lrayholly: cool. I wasn’t positive about this one. I like it, but unlike the moon, where she’s on earth, I was afraid it might be too weird with someone staring at earth because, really… where is she?
Hello, vertebrae!
Lovely shot. 🙂
This looks really good. My only complaint is the bright spot on her lower back…kinda wish that was toned down.
She’s floating through space…what’s the problem?
@bk7j: yep… I have it on good authority that she is a mammal. 🙂 Thanks.
@max1975: hmmm… Yeah, I guess i see what you mean, But I can’t decide. I guess I could process it down. Let me wait and see what other people think. But actually, yeah, in Maverick Tarot world, everyone is floating through space.
At first I thought there was something unusual with the models body, but I think it might just be lighting. Her kidneys look very enlarged.
@Princess Diablo: I might have to tweak that. It’s the same issue with that highlight, I think.
I think she might have a mild case of scoliosis wich produces the slightly off curve of her spine – makes her all the more beautiful and interesting. Perfection as in flawless is utterly boring, this is true perfection. I love this picture and the whole Tarot card idea – I would have loved to have modeled for one of your cards, but I guess Sweden is a little far away, and there is no card called "the Crone" is there… (I feel so old and tired today…)
@Baroness Nordmark: thank you again. Please check back for other cards regularly and let me know what you hink.
I will be back – don’t worry… 😉
I really like your pictures, so I’ll haunt your stream when I can.
@Baroness Nordmark: thank you.
your tarot set is entirely wonderful
@moonjazz: thank you. I should be adding more soon.
If you want to be conservative, keep this at moderate. It’s not showing anything you can’t see at the museum.

Seen in your FC-overreact set. (?)
@Sick Little Monkey: sigh… probably for the best. I hate people.
