I’m not really anywhere near as depressed as I probably look in this picture. If anything, I’m actually more kind of tired. I really didn’t do much of anything today. My friends who were hanging out last night left this morning, and I alternated between taking naps and cleaning most of the day (and talking to Steph, who’s still in DC, on the phone).
I originally wanted to take a picture of myself out in the rainstorm that we had earlier but I just couldn’t get it to my satisfaction, so I gave up. I was wracking my brain trying to think of something cool to do, and I remembered something the lovely and talented ambrosialove(hi Amber, 😛 ) told me a while back. If all else fails just take your clothes off and take a picture. I want to amend that to "take a picture under good lighting." That’s basically what I did.
I was talking to Amaya yesterday about how while I know a lot about taking artsy modely pics of women (from reading everything from fashion magazines and Playboy to photography books on glamour), most of what I know about taking pics of men, basically comes from experimenting on me. That’s been one of the best parts of 365. Learning more about photographing the male form. Or at least mine. I wanted to experiment a little with form and male abstract body design here. Hence the hiding my face. I guess you could call it kind of an anatomy study. I dunno. Anyway, I think it turned out ok. I wish I had sharper focus on it though.
Heh – I’m lovely and talented, eh? 😛
I like the softness this image has.
amazing image. wonderful job.
Nice job. Thanks for the explanation though; mothers tend to become concerned when they see their offspring holding their heads in such a fashion! I thought you had developed a migraine! 🙂 Now that you’ve put it all in perspective, it takes on a whole other look. I like it!
@ambrosialove: I was hoping you’d notice that. 🙂 Thanks.
@artsy_T: thank you.
@lrayholly: yeah, I’m fine. Glad you like the pic.
@lalalaa Dolce Vita: yep. It really had helped me even more than I was hoping it would. I’m glad its been able to help others as well. And I’m glad you like this pic. Thank you.
Well this shot worked out well for you I think. What I want to know is….did you end up NOT drinking tonight? Heh.
@PhotoKat: thank you, and yes I did. Of course, its now after midnight… hmmm… 🙂
great shot… I really wasn’t sure what the icon was, but I am glad that I clicked now! you are doing a great job on your 365s! Keep it up!
@HBE_Mom: thank you and thank you for dropping by.
