Another day without a job. But maybe I’m getting close. Talked to more recruiters, but I don’t know if that will get me anywhere. I don’t know that it won’t either. I’m trying not to think about it.

Anyway, I got a phone call this afternoon from someone who wanted to model for me who lives in Iowa. But she’s visiting Pittsburgh this week, so that pretty much meant I had to shoot her today because I wasn’t sure I was going to get another chance. I had plans to use her for my five of swords card, and the plan involved a lot of blood. As much as I strive for realism in my photos, I didn’t have the heart to actually slice her open so that meant I had to mix up a batch of fake blood. So all of a sudden I had a whole big batch of fake blood. I figured I had to make use of that for a 365 shot. But what to do with it?

So I started thinking. Jack uses fake blood. What would Jack do? Jack would use a gun. And this idea was born.

I assure you, no Mavericks were harmed in the creation of this shot.
