Some days it just doesn’t pay to wake up in the morning.
So I had a wrestling show in the Middleofnowhere, West Virginia today. Steph was going to go but at the last minute decided she didn’t want to. Probably for the best.
I drive about and hour and 15 min, and get hungry 6 miles from the show, so I pull over at a local convenience store and buy some cookies and a powerade. When I get outside I can’t get my truck started. ARGH!!!
I call my wrestling friends and tell them that I probably won’t make the show since I have to wait for AAA to come and tow me back to Pittsburgh (even though I was only a few miles away). Then I deal with AAA for like 15 minutes and they finally decide to send a truck after me. No sooner do I hang up then I manage to get the engine started. I decide that since I’m only 5-10 min. from where I was heading, I might as well go work the show and then deal with whatever happens after.
So I miake the show and find out that my tag team partner, Brandon has cancelled. So instead it was decided that I would defend the belts with Luis, who you might remember was the guy who I had tricked into being my tag partner five months ago, duing my first tag title reign. Much like I was responsible for Luis losing his tag titles back then, Luis got pinned this time and lost my prized tag titles. *sigh* Even worse, I got punched hard in the eye during the match and it swelled up quite a bit. By the time I took this picture, the swelling had mostly gone down, Now I am sporting quite a shiner though. *sigh* again.
After my match was intermission during the show, so i went out to check on the Blazer. It started right up! Woohoo! Maybe things were looking up. I went back in to watch the rest of the show.
And of course when the show was over, I couldn’t get it started to save my life. I called AAA and spent 45 min. being bounced back and forth from office to office and being on hold as they tried to decide which AAA office serves Middleofnowhere, WV. Finally they found the right place and told me that the tow truck would be there within the hour (though they noted that the mechanic they were coming from was only 15 min. away).
An hour later, the mecahnic calls me and tells me that they can’t tow me and they were sending a truck from another garage. It was to be there within 45 min. It took an hour. big *sigh*
So I finally got home to find my eyelid entirely black and blue and I have to go to the mechanic tomorrow to spend money I don’t have getting my truck fixed AGAIN! Maybe something good will happen tomorrow…
Or maybe an asteroid the size of Texas will hit the Earth while I sleep.
Really… either way…
Well nuts! Apparently there is no spillover of good luck from 7-7-7 to 7-8-7… I guess it just doesn’t work that way. With the intermittent starting/not starting, I wonder if it’s a loose battery cable?
Awwwww! Poor baby. 🙁 *hugs for a crappy day!*
if it weren’t for bad luck, you’d have no luck at all.
I hope the truck problem is something easy and cheap.
good luck with that eye. do we get to see it?

Seen on your photo stream. (?)
@lrayholly: I dunno. The earth wasn’t actually struck with an asteroid last night. That’s something, right? I don’t think its the battery. Everything else battery operated is working fine. The tow truck driver suspects its the fuel pump. Which sucks becuase I’ve had it replaced like twice already.
@jillwrites.com: Thanks.
@Travelinjim: It’s not all that spectacular. You can see it a bit in this pic. (my left eye) I’m sure it will show up in whatever today’s shot will be. But really, its not all that obvious.
