And the hits just keep on coming…
I had a bunch of errands to run today. I needed to get matting and framing supplies for my art show and I needed to get prizes for Jammy Jam. Mostly I’m done, I need to get one more, but that’s where the problems began.
On my way home, I started having car problems AGAIN. My truck actually stalled out for a bit, but I eventually managed to get it started again. Then I had to stop and get the aforementioned framing stuff.
Had more car troubles on the way out. Thought about having it towed to my mechanic (which I really don’t have the money for) but managed to get it started and drive home.
Once I was home, I immediately broke the frame I had just bought. *sigh*
Then I went to work on the deck next door that we’re building. Got a lot done, except now we’ve noticed that there’s a wetspot in our dirt. Is it from the rain last night and just didn’t dry well or is it from an underground spring we have in our backyards (we know there’s one there). We stopped for the day to see how well it dries. Hopefully it will be better tomorrow, otherwise we won’t be able to finish it and the question of whether or not we can use it for Jammy Jam is moot.
When it rains, it pours . . . I know that all too well right now. But hey! Our Uhaul rental was $10 cheaper than the estimate I was given last week!
Hi, I’m an admin for a group called 6th element – 碳 – カーボン – 탄소 – углерод, and we’d love to have your photo added to the group.
@ambrosialove: ooh! you guys should run away to Old Mexico. That kinda money will take you a long way down there.
@SteelePop: hmmm… not sure why. I guess I’m a carbon based lifeform. But sure, its added.
That sucks! Your luck has to change soon…it just HAS to!
When do you find out about Millionaire?
damn, bad luck in droves. you look like you’re about at the end of your rope.
@sadandbeautiful (Sarah): you’d think so, wouldn’t you? And yet… And I don’t know about Millionairre. We still haven’t gotten our post card that says one way or the other yet.
@Travelinjim: getting there. *sigh*
I feel your pain. I haven’t had a steady job for going on three years, now…. that’s the main reason I’m fixing up this dump and moving back to the Gulf Coast. If nothing else, I can be poor at the beach.
I think we may have finally come over the top on the repairs here, though… the roofer on Monday, plumber today, and the drywall guy coming next Monday…. throw a coat of paint on it, and get the carpet guys in here…
Hope you’ve got a dry spot tomorrow.

Seen on your photo stream. (?)
Well Damn!
@FadderUri: yeah… its been 5 years for me… floating from contract to contract. I’m tired. I have an interview on Friday for a stable job making less than I have in years. But stable. I’m a broken man. At this point I’m just hoping I get it.
@lrayholly: yup
Fingers are crossed for ya!
@adayinthelife: thank you
