We got there at the crack of dawn to catch golden hour light which provided some amazing results in my opinion.
This is actually one of my favorite shots I’ve ever taken, I think. The problem with being "an artist" is that no matter how much other people like your work, you’re always your own toughest critic. There’s usually tons I don’t like about any given picture I take. This one on the other hand makes me feel like I might actually have a smidgen of talent.
Wow, nice work. The b&w ones are good, but I honestly have to say I prefer most of this set in color. The lichen and leaf litter provide a rich, lush setting without overpowering the skin tones.
@protomelas: thank you. It really depended on the shot, for what I chose to do. In this case, I really thought the lighting and color would play nicely with the pose. If I am going for high contrasting tone variations, I go with black and white.
I agree = )
@pkathleen: you agree with which comment?
Really nice shot this, good light and everything makes it very pleasing to look at! 🙂

Seen in your FC-pre set. (?)
@MrLuke: thanks. I’m very happy with it. I’m tempted to use it in my "Light" show at the photography exhibit I’m doing in a couple weeks, but I kind of want to stay in the same theme I have going already.
Exquisite!
@lisa and mike: thank you.
I’d be hopeless as an art critic because if I like a picture I’m oblivious to any faults. There’s a lot about this that I like very much: her proud, prominent poise, her magnificent figure and the suffusive morning light. There’s power and yet a certain dreaminess to it.
@John of Wirral: thank you. I’m glad you like it.
This stunningly beautiful, so earth and fresh!
