Amaya had the idea of doing a nude photoshoot down at one of her favorite spots in West Virginia. So I took Rachael and Laurie down there to do the shoot with her.
We got there at the crack of dawn to catch golden hour light which provided some amazing results in my opinion.

Reminiscent of the Sirens in Oh Brother Where Art Thou … Mix of hair colors has interesting symbolic connotations … the composition of this one is particularly strong with the triumverate of torsos eminating from the legs of the fore figure.
this is my favorite of the series… fantastic framing and dof.
one thing… is it just me or is it scary to get nude in the woods of west virginia? heh.
@Tommy Train: yeah, I love that they each had different colored hair. That was probably my favorite thing about shooting them together.
What I was worried about on this one in particular was whether the soft focus was too cheesy or not. I liked the effect since it gave it kind of a dreamy feel, I thought, but it also seemed a little bit gimmicky.
@Okaypro: oh, so I guess the soft focus doesn’t bother you then. Good. It’s not that scary I don’t think. It seriously was the crack of dawn and we were in a pretty secluded area. There was no one around.
wow, this one is beautiful. I love the slight blur. It looks like you surprised them doing something intimate, nothing bad or too exciting, just something where they wouldn’t expect somebody else to be around.

Seen on your photo stream. (?)
@KatColorado: thank you. I’m glad this one is going over better than I expected. When we talked about this shoot we really wanted it to come across as sexy and sensual without being dirty or falling into the lebian/bisexual fantasy realm. I’m glad people approve.
oh, the lighting is fantastic.
they’re beautiful.
i love the natural in a natural setting.
@star*monkey: thank you. I’m pretty happy with it. As much as I love my studio shots, it’s always nice to shoot somewhere else.
I love this one too. Again, the variety is so good. It just makes it. And it DOES really evoke something Greek mythology-ish. Oh, my comments are so unoriginal. But that’s what I wanted to say too! And that one in the middle, what a Look.

@Miss Emily goes bananas: they’re not unoriginal. I thank you for putting the time in.
Um, I don’t know how i didn’t comment on this before.

@♥hairplay: Thanks.
