1 year.
365 photos.
4964 shots taken to get there.
I was kind of hoping that I’d get a call from the job I want yesterday so that my story would have a happy ending, but I guess that wasn’t to be. As I said yesterday, I don’t know what the future holds. But at least I can look back and see where I’ve been. And what better way to do that on the final day than this.
I suppose maybe it’s okay that I didn’t get that job (yet, didn’t get it yet… trying to stay positive). Maybe it shows that even though this is the end of the year, its not the end of the story. It shows that life goes on and there’s more to come.
When I started this project I really doubted I’d ever get this far. And more so, I really doubted that any one would care about it one way or the other.
Now, a year later, I find that I’ve inspired thousands of other people all over the world. It’s an odd feeling, but I think its a good one. I often joke that this being a guru stuff is great, but it’d be nice if I could make some money doing it. If every member of 365 sent me ten bucks, I’d not have to work for a year.
But really, its nice anyway.
Thank you to everyone who has participated in the project. Thank you to everyone who has simply watched and bothered to comment here. It’s been an interesting year and I’m sure an interesting one will follow. I hope you’ll all continue on your own 365 day journeys, and continue to follow mine. And I hope you all find the experience as rewarding as I have.
Truly, I couldn’t have done it without you.
Of course, if you all WANT to send me $10, that might make this year even better. And hey, if you want to send me $1000, I certainly won’t complain! 🙂
(by the way, if its not clear what’s going on here, it is probably best viewed large or small)
First! No wonder it took so long to process! This is kick ass PRICELESS! I truly wish I could fave it 100 times!
You have truly made your mark with this project, Son, truly. I hope you really realize the magnitude of what you have given people. Fantastic!
I have no doubt that great & wonderful things await you… sometimes you just have to bide your time.
Love you to the MAX!
Congrats, bro! You’ve created a monster. 🙂
OMG! Congrats!!! What an inspiration. This is awesome. 😀
You really need to add a paypal link so we can send you that $10. Congratulations on accomplishing such an amazing project. You’ve been a great inspiration to me and I look forward to seeing what you do next.
Okay, I just realized that today’s portrait is made up of all your other portraits! Coooooool!
BRAVO!!!!
Now take a day off. That is what I plan to do when I finish.
I just viewed this in the original size! WOW!
Congrats on making it to the end. Good luck on all your future endevors. And thank you again for bringing 365 Days to us.
YOU ROCK!!!

365 has been very inspirational to me. Thank you!
congratulations..! I give up ):
Awwwwww……my Mav!!!! This is truly amazing, it’s so RIDICULOUSLY awesome. I bow to your coolness, your creativity, your work. Thanks for creating this group, it really changed my life here in Flickr, if it wasn’t for 365 I don’t hink I would have the friends I have today including you. Congrats on making it a whole year!!! By the way I knew right away that this was made up of all your other portraits 😉 Coolest 365 ever!!! I’d totally send you ten bucks ;-P
♥
Kat
@lrayholly: yeah, I do realize. I’ve actually kind of been in awe, marveling about it for a while. As for the rest of my life from this day forward. I guess its just one day at a time. Hopefully it just doesn’t take too many of them.
@Whiffleboy: thank you. But is the monster 365 or my pic?
@Reluctant Suburbanite: thank you.
@Kungfukitten: well, that would actually be against flickr regulations. 🙂 But you know, I’m not a hard guy to find if someone were to like google for me or something. 🙂
And yeah, its a pic composed of the 4964 shots I took during the course of the project. I thought it was a fitting end. Had the idea right when I started.
@Mikey/MDDunn Photography: see, the thing is, if I do that, then like a week from now I’m gonna be all mad because i didn’t just continue.
@Ernie E: you’re welcome and thank you.
@TwistedAngelTx: thank you and you’re welcome.
@topupthetea: thanks. And don’t do that, I enjoy your shots every day.
@PhotoKat: haha… don’t sell yourself short. You have way more friends than I do even. 🙂 I’m glad you like it. I hope Nico does too.
Congratulations, sir! I stumbled upon this group about seven months ago and have been preparing ever since. My project begins in 38 days (the day after my 39th birthday). And the photo is OUTSTANDING!
@dramamath: good luck when you do begin. And thank you.
Genius! Absolute Genius! I LOVE it…it’s really a perfect way to end your year and you did a brilliant job, something i couldn’t have pulled off (maybe next year?!).
@pi c’s: well, the trick is just to save everything you take. Once you have all the shots, there’s software to make the mosaic.
Booyah! Wonderful way to round it all out! Congratulations & much love. Any plans to start a second 365 set tomorrow? Kidding… But really: What about putting your set up on blurb as a book for us to order? You know a lot of us would really dig that…
Absolutely stunning! Congratulations on getting to the end of the year in style!
Wow. That is real nice.
Why west siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiide?
Wonderful. Have to thank you again for getting this started on such a grand scale. Changing lives, you are.

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuude!
You rule, just so you know. I just have one question . . . are you doing another self portrait tomorrow?
@misterg8s: actually, I think I’ll probably just keep going as long as I can. And I’ve been thinking of putting a book together for me at least since the beginning. Other people have suggested putting it up for people to buy, and I guess I will. I’m actually still to this day amazed that anyone cares.
@practicalowl: thank you. Glad you like it.
@Princess Diablo: thanks. I just do that in all my wrestling photos and stuff. So every once in a while I do it in another shot.
@libraryann: you’re welcome and thank you.
@ambrosialove: I’m planning on it. Honestly, it’d just be weird not to.
Congratulations! This is an awesome picture! Truly inspirational!!!
@TXAlleKat: thank you. Glad to help.
omg! ive gotten behind in the last few weeks…i didnt realize that you were THIS close to finishing the year! Wow. Congrats!!
@k.e.b: yep. Thank you.
Oh, this is so wonderful! Great picture for your 365 day! Congratulations!!!!
I’m on day 332, the "end" is near but I don’t think I will ever be able to stop taking a daily picture. It has become a nice habit.
Wow! Great finish!
You’re an inspiration to so many!
Dude, I’ve got ten on it. flickrmail me your address. The inspiration has been worth at least that. 🙂 congratulations.

@annachandra: thank you, and that’s basically how I feel right now. But who knows, maybe that will change when I get irritated at it again. 🙂
@starpixie: thank you. It feels good to be an inspiration.
@lalalaa Dolce Vita: hehehe…. hold on one second… I’m working on something… 🙂 and thank you.
@-logoparenthêtês-: thank you
Stupendous finish, my friend! What an amazing mosaic to look at in the large size!
Congratulations!! You know I’ll be following your next 365 days.

Congratulations to your last picture of the year! You started something great and you took so many great pictures.

@KatColorado: thank you. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
@macaddict: Thank you and thank you for … err.. following the way?
Ok… if people really wanted to send me money, they totally could do so right here. Not begging or anything… just saying is all. 🙂
you r amazing!!!! congrats!
Donation made…and I was the first 🙂
Good luck!!!!
@pbrat: thank you. I’m trying to be. 🙂
@pi c’s: dude! Thanks. If I make the $100,000 goal, I’ll totally give up on working and be an artist full time. Actually, If I make… lets say $50,000. I’ll even do that. Ok People! It’s in your hands! 🙂
Mav, you’re done. Congrats. How awesome.
I will have to go another month, but I’m so close that I think I will make it too.
Oh, and my 10 bucks are on the way, Mr Visionary. Good luck with everything.
@Cybergabi: Thank you! And I’m sure you’ll make it. And wheee!!! only $49,980 to go! Hell, if I made like $1000, I’d be able to pay all my bills this month! YOU PEOPLE ROCK!!!
#1: Your mama raised you right. See things through.
and B: This reminds me that I CAN finish this project! Only 165 days to go!
Well done for playing it out to the end and finishing on a high. 365 has changed my life, brought me to new places, met wonderful people and even found that someone special.
The challenge to create something new everyday keeps my interest in photography now that the barriers of university and learning are behind me.
Thank you and good luck in the future.
Its been a pleasure knowing you Mav…
Are you going to take a picture onday 366?
This is a GREAT way to end it!!!! I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks again, Chris. You started a very worthwhile thing here.
magical finish… thanks for all the inspiration and for creating such a great group.
fuck yeah dude. nice =)
What a fabulous idea! Good work keeping track of all of them and sorting by brightness!
Congratulations on the big finish!
Wonderful! Bravo… : )
CONGRATULATIONS from an amazed follower of your work! Thanks for some amazing leadership and outstanding photos!
What a sweet ride….congrats on the finish! Artistic vision is too seldom rewarded….$10 ain’t much, but it’s all yours…thanks for the great year. Seriously. Thanks.

Amazing! Congratulations and thank you for creating this project. It really is a wonderful idea for all of us to explore and participate in.
@redjade75: yeah, she did a good job. And you’ll be fine, you’re more than half way.
@Fanboy29: I’m glad it has helped you. Thank you for your comments.
@theshyfox, Fox of The Wachoo Wachoo Tribe: I’m planning on it. I have no idea what yet. Thanks.
@Gamma Infinity: thank you. I’m happy with what we’ve all accomplished too.
@jwill9311: you’re welcome. Thank you.
@Qathi: thanks.
@phlewght: well, I didn’t really. I just kept them all in a folder and I have a program that does it for me. I just made sure to wear blue and take it in front of the black backdrop since I knew I’d have a lot of those colors to work with.
@adayinthelife: thank you
@gotplaid?: and thank you for participating!
@crow_soup: thanks. And hey, every little bit helps! 🙂
@kellifornia: I will for now. We’ll see how it goes.
@Flower in the Sun: thank you for participating. Good luck.
@david_porter: well, you don’t have too much farther to go. Thank you and good luck.
@mv4: it does, and I’m pretty happy to have accomplished it. Thanks.
@Marazipan: thank you and thank you for participating.
Mav. So nice to see you reach here. Whether you realize it or not I’ve been looking in regularily for a long long time now. Your photography has always left me wanting to see more, and this photo is no different. (Although I have to seriously rethink something I was going to do soon damn you!)
Through it all the best part of this project for me has been the friendships and aquaintances I’ve made along the way. And although my 365 was well underway when I ran across yours it certainly gave me a different reason for continuing.
Thanks for everything Mav. If there’s anything I can ever do for you, you only need to say hello and go from there.
congrats CONGRATS and YAY! You did it, and you made it possible for the rest of us to do it too. And what an awesome 365 shot this is!
I’ve got four more days to go, and this has been such an amazing experience for me … it has changed my life and my outlook in so many way… so THANK YOU! 🙂
What an amazing final portrait! Just truly amazing.
You have changed the lives of 4,917 people.
We are all better humans for this. We all appreciate a great photograph and love comments from other 365-ers. Today, We Honor You.
Congratulations ChrisMaverick.
Congrats on making it through the end and on the large following you’ve gathered! This is a fantastic way to end the year of shots. Great job!
I wish you tons of luck with your job search, I know how frustrating that can get.
i had a feeling you were going to do this, i’m so glad you did.
bravo maestro!!!
Just one more thank you and congats . . .
@[AJ]: thank you [AJ] there aren’t many people in the "done" club yet, so its nice to hear that from you. And please do the same idea. It’d be nice to see someone else do it.
@tamelyn: thank you. I’ve said it before, and I’m sure this won’t be the last time. I’m really happy to hear so many people say that.
@Just Andrea With A Camera: thank you
@eye_capture: well, to be fair, not all of them ever even tried to do the project. But thank you, it means a lot.
@Travelinjim: thanks and thanks on the job search. Hopefully something will turn up soon. But you know, ten bucks from every 365 member and I won’t need it. *sigh*
@ms.Tea: really? I was wondering if anyone was expecting it.
@jcrowley001: and one more thank you.
It just shows what an impact one person with an idea can have. You have created the first real "community" I’ve found on Flickr after 3 years here. Congratulations on reaching 365. What will you do on day 366?
—
Seen in some comments. (?)
Congratulations!!!!!! It was this group that has pushed me to be creative and meet sooo many great flickr friends and to come across so many who are way more creative and knowledgeable than me. Cheers!
@basykes: well, its not a community with just me, so thank you to everyone else as well.
@abchick: thank you for the kind words. i hope you continue to enjoy the group
I’ve had a lot of people message me and leave comments when I first started this thing saying that they wished they were doing the same thing. None of them really took the initiative to carry it through until you.
So glad you decided to carry it through to the end. You’ll definitely look back on this year with a clarity that you’ve never had before. I know I did after I was done.
You go back and read your posts and see some very personal moments that you might have remembered a lot differently had you not documented them so honestly. We all have selective memories about the past. All the facts begin to blur into mere recolections.
You also become more comfortable in your own skin. You learn how you look from every angle. You see others as others see you. Glad to see that more people have latched onto this idea.
By the way… this was a KILLER way to end your year.
What a totally awesome way to finish an awesome year of picture taking.
Thanks for sharing your life with us…
and introducing your mommy to us. ha!
@Stephen Poff: yeah, I’ve been doing that. It’s crazy. I can’t thank you enough for giving me the idea. As much as everyone else says I changed their life, you really did change mine. Which brings me to something I wanted to ask you. You asked me about writing the forward for your book. Want to write the one for mine?
@Nanna J: hah… yeah, I know… she’s way more popular than I ever have been. Thank you for dropping by to comment.
Man! Talk about finishing with a flourish! This is fantastic! I’ve always wanted to learn how to do these mosaic type photos, but I don’t think I have the patience to sit and fit one together.
Keep chin up, eyes open, and camera ready. Good things are destined for you. I feel it in my bones.

So cool Mav! Congrats and thanks for starting this amazing group!
Congrats. On all of it.
and thanks. for all of it.
I’m not even 1/2 way yet – but I have already learned so much about myself – and grown in ways I didn’t even know I had to grow.

Dude, this is great! Very clever idea to finish off the year. I’m so looking forward to today’s pic. Will it be "Day 366 of 365" or will it be "Day 1"? I’ve been thinking about that for a while for myself and I think I’m just going to keep counting up, why start over when life doesn’t start over? By the way, Mav, I think I’m going to do this for the rest of my life. I know I’ve thanked you for this before, but really THANK YOU. It really changed my life.
PS Only 4964? Wow! Since I started 365 and Class with Dave (I didn’t separate them) I have taken 10,402 photos. Thank God for digital, right?
@BritishYosef: thank you.
@evaxebra: rest of your life? ooh… then you can send me $2000 instead. 😉 Actually, I think I’m gonna call today’s pic day 366. Whenever I get around to taking it. And 4964, was just the number of shots I took specifically for 365. Shots I’ve taken total in the last year is probably 5 or 10 times that. For reference, on average at a photoshoot with a model I take 200-300 shots. And you see how many of those I do.
CONGRATULATIONS, Mav!!!!!!!!!! It CAN be done! It figures that it would be Lynn’s son that was the first! Way to go!!! :o)
Wow!!!!!!!!!! Such an inspiration and what a great thing you’ve started. Congratulations!
@gaymay: well, to be fair, there are other people who have finished this kind of project before me. I am only first in the group because I’m the one who started the group. That said, thank you very much!
@This crazy life: thank you.
I’m glad you feel that way. Especially after all you’ve been through.
And I would be honored to write the forward for your book. By the way, it looks like our article in the Tampa newpaper is going to come out next week.
I figured it’s because of you my life has changed in a lot of really postive ways and that certainly deserved $20 bucks. And I do think everyone else should give you $10 by the way. Or $5 or $1,000 😉
This is a great way to end.

Outstanding!!! Congrats, man.
uh boy, I can see that I am very late to this party and will need to spend a lot of time in catch-up mode. THANKS A LOT CLEM!
@Stephen Poff: cool. I’ll email you when I’m done fooling around with it in blurb. And yeah, I’m looking forward to reading it on Tuesday.
@Rachel.::.K: oh, I totally think I deserve a million. The public disagrees sadly. 🙂 Thanks.
@MonP: thank you
@Kathleen_A: its never to late. Glad to have you aboard.
Congrats Chris! I have been admiring all of the people who have taken on this 365 project very much. It takes a lot of courage to reflect on your life for 365 days in such an open way. I have not done so myself, for I lack this courage. This is an incredible thing. I had to stop by and tell you so.
congrats!
Fantastic picture.
Congrats.
I’d get on sending the 10 bucks if I had that option, but I don’t, sorry ;P
Thanks for all the inspiration.
Amazing shot with the mosaic!!!!
@forty-onecrush: it becomes easier as time goes on. I’m very glad I decided to do it. It taught me a lot about myself. And thank you.
@getthebubbles: thanks.
@sevenoh: ah, well… I certainly understand the not having cash. I don’t have any myself. 🙂
wow… I havne’t kept ALL the shots I’ve taken (lack of storage space, and some being downright atrocious!) this is spectacular, well done, thanks for the memories and inspiration!
—
I can’t afford the $10, sounds pathetic I know, but every penny counts, right!? so I’m sending what I can!
@amanky: oh… I never delete anything. I have external harddrives that I move stuff to when its taking up too much space on my laptop. And even if I did, like I said, I knew I was going to do this 5 min. into doing the project (I just kept it a secret all year), so I knew to save them.
and I totally get not having $10. I don’t. 🙂 So thank you in any case. 🙂
awesome mosaic Chris…. and so glad you got us all hooked on the 365 project. truly one of the best things I’ve ever done…
@the trial: and I, in turn am glad so many people got hooked. Thank you.
Like I’ve said before, life altering. Thanks Mav for being our model and our inspiration. (And Qathi for getting me started!)

you inspire in so many ways….thank you! here’s to another phenomenal 365!
There are no words that help explain to non-flickrites how much 365 means. The community you have built has created connections that are lifelong, personal journeys that are life altering and a time capsule for each of us. I thank you oh guru….truly.
so you are the responsible party? this project is maddening, all consuming, and totally awesome…you are the master, and thanks for the inspiration…i am inspired to continue on now that i have seen the completion of one of the creators…this idea rocks…
btw…how did you do this? or will you never tell? my husband, the engineer, is fascinated…
@Dave77459: that means a lot. Thank you.
@corkaborka77: see, its encouragement like this that is the reason I can’t give up now. Thank you very much.
@*Dare*: I was joking about the guru thing, but now after all these comments, I really feel like one. Thank you very much.
@nurseynicole: thank you. As for how, it was actually a lot simpler than it looks. I used this program. I was just careful to make sure I wore the right jacket and used the right backdrop to make good use of colors I had used a lot throughout the year.
Wow, this is really cool! Congrats on finishing!
@Chera25: thank you.
$2000… that might be a bit steep for me right now (I already owe 60x that for my medical school loans) but in 200 years I’ll do it. You know, $10/year 😉
congratulations, and thanks xx
Totally exciting. How refreshing it must be to be able to look at your "365 days" set and have it say "365 photos" underneath!
And that thing with the Tampa Tribune is coming out this week!
Sorry to hear about the job. If I had $10, I’d send it. Then again, we’re in the same city… a beer maybe?
Congratulations. This is amazing. Thank you. Thank you for introducing the world of Flickr to 365. I have met amazing people. You are an inspiration.
wow – that’s brilliant!
Thanks for the inspiration – and for all you’ve done
great final image!

I’m sure bunches of people have already said something similar to what I have to say. Whatever. The project has changed my life. I’ve grown exponentially in my photography skills (for evidence, see my set), and not only that, I’ve started to see the world differently. This is the best way in which I express myself and has become an outlet for me better than writing ever was. It is my love, my hobby, and my therapy. Thank you so much for starting and sharing this.

@Mrs. Reed: Thank you. I’m glad it’s done what it has for you and everyone else.
Hey Chris, thanks for the idea to start the group, you have really inspired a lot of people. I have become a better photographer as a result of working on this project. Finally I have all the photos I need to give my mom a great 65th birthday present and possibly to share my life with my future children (Lord willing!). I will do better than sending money I will add you to my prayer list for blessings that you have inspired for others to be sent back to you not necessarily in monetary form but by better things than that! Woot.
@simis: Thank you. I hope yor mother enjoys the present.
blogged

Thank you for starting this group. It has been truly inspirational. I’ve gone from having almost no photos of myself (much to the disappointment of my husband, family, and friends) to being able to watch the progression of my daily life and my comfort with myself. And I’ve interacted with some cool folks too!
Wishing you all the best in whatever projects the future holds!

congratulations! Thanks for starting this group. It’s changed my life (for a year, at least).
@cowboy_montgomery: hopefully for the better and hopefully for ever. Thank you.

@peculiar235: thank you. And I guess I’m an addict. What can I say?
Thanks for the inspiration, Chris. I’m just out the starting gate. You’ve created a Flickr phenomenon.
365 has TRULY changed my life.
Thus YOU have changed my life.
Thank you for that.
Congrats on your 365 journey, ending, and yet another new beginning.
This is my fave sp EVER.
What a brilliant idea for your last 365. Au revoir!
@Just Say K.B.: you’re welcome. Good luck on your journey.
@~Kell~: thank you. I’m glad I could help.
@Cap’n Hef: thank you. Its not really the last though. I’ve vowed to continue for a second year.
did this, has this made explore yet? if not, i’m appalled and yet another reason that i find explore to be stupid at times. ok, most of the time. without reason, without a brain…oh yes, it’s not a person….
anyway, i’m glad to see that your donation fund is doing well….well, not as good as it could be, but perhaps it’ll change…and hey, a little bit is better than none at all 🙂
WOW! Congrats on a job very well done, Mav.
And what a awesome idea for your 365th pic!
I’m so glad you started this group…not only has it helped me creatively, but I’ve met tons of cool people…like you! : )
Here’s to 365 more! **cheers**
Very cool, Mav. Very cool.
Thanks so much for starting this amazing group. It’s hard to imagine what my life would be like right now if I hadn’t come across 365 Days. Hmm…
Hey Mav…any chance this was flagged as "non-safe" by Flickr because of the URL in the description? I think they may have a generic rule that photos with links to other websites (amazon in this case) don’t get into explore.
@pi c’s: nope, it hasn’t. Which is odd, given its amount of views, comments (my most ever) and faves (also, now my most ever). In fact, both the day after and the day before made explore. *shrug*
and yeah, I’m not exactly a millionaire yet, but I was surprised to get anything. It’s nice to see people showing their support like that.
@BlueberryGirl (AnnaRenee): good luck with finishing. It is very rewarding. And thank you.
@d.rex: yeah, I feel the same way. It’s become such a part of my existence at this point that its impossible to imagine life any other way.
I don’t know on the link. I kind of don’t think so, though because the day 366 pic has the exact same link and that jumped into explore almost immediately. Also, I have tons of explore pics that I link to Livejournal and other stuff sometimes too. It’s a mystery to me.
I keep checking and checking… no Explore! That makes absolutely NO sense! I don’t care WHAT the formula is, there’s no way this shouldn’t have made Explore! No sense at all! They really didn’t want to tic off Mama! Grrrrrrrrr
@lrayholly: heh… I’ve pretty much just given up on it.
Maybe it’s because it’s a mosaic?
How cool is that – congrats!!!
@AngelaGKlocke: thank you.
So awesome. I do know it is amazing how many pics one will take to get that one to post on some days.
@Mamahoot~: yeah, it really does vary quite a bit. There are a couple days where I took over 100 shots just for one final piece. Others where I got it in only one or two. I’m glad you liked it. Thank you.
this mosaic is awesome. major props! congrats on finishing. i’m only on day 13 🙁
Well, heck. I don’t really KNOW-know you, but have obviously seen your pictures kicking about the group.
And what a frickin’ fantastic body of work.
Congratulations!
Unbelievable mosaic…wow!
@lilhelen: good luck on getting to the end. Thank you.
@Great Danes and @mickey-finn: thank you
In some way i will say thanks for the 365 but…asking for money?….your totally american…like flickr…je
He’s not beating anyone over the head for it, people wanted to donate. I would, if I was not in college trying to feed myself and pay my rent.

@testing.ipernity: as Emily said, I’m not really asking for it. People said repeatedly "you’ve changed my life. Is there anywhere I can send you money as a thank you." and I eventually decided "well, if they really do think I’ve changed their lives, then sure. they can send me money." So I made a place and they did. That simple. I’m certainly not forcing anyone to do anything. Or even asking really. But I am an unemployed artist who in all seriousness is having major problems finding a job, paying his bills and buying food. So if someone wants to send me money, I’m not going to turn it down.
@Miss Emily goes bananas: thank you, Emily.
owe a lot to you and the group, dude… truly. thanks for creating it. and congrats on hitting the mark and keeping it up. i know how tough it is and can be.
@son of a motherless goat: Thanks, and it totally is… yesterday was the first time since like week 2 where I said to myself "what the hell have i gotten myself in to?"
wow. absolutely wow.
hi chris! i just wanted to express my gratitude to you for starting the best group on flick ever. i stumbled across your stream awhile ago. it was your 365 with Scott McCloud, in particular, that i learned of this project and it planted a seed.
i am friends with him so when he gets back from the 50 state tour i plan on telling him of how his pic with you and him inspired me!
this is a lovely last pic. it was sad to think it was over but i am glad to see that you are continuing it!
@joy morningmoon: thank you.
@nuala29: oh cool. He seemed like a really cool guy when I met him. He asked me about the project. I wonder what he’ll think about it once you tell him you’re doing it as well and he sees that I’m done.
wow, congratulations!! I’m about a third through my 365 and haven’t done much of anything on the boards, so I didn’t know you had started the group! that’s so awesome, because there are so many amazing pictures being done as a result. so a big kudos to you and holy COW what a great idea and job on this mosaic!
@susiejulie: if you ever get caught, the forums are a nice place to pick up ideas. Good luck on finishing and thanks.
Let me just say THANK YOU……………THis group has changed the way I think about Commitment…..Change and Growth……
Because of your group……..I look at ‘taking pictures’ completely differently. I love this project and how you have touched and changed somany peoples lives………………………thanks again. <3
congrats on 365 and thanks for starting up the group/project. will definitely be going thru your entire set now. sorry i haven’t been yet.
@SoManyIdeas: I love that so many people have been so affected by this project. Thank you for writing.
@arkworld: thank you.
I know I said congrats via Dave as we were getting ready to go out of town Saturday, but I just wanted to say it again! This is so, so awesome.
And not to be a copycat, but I have to echo Dave’s sentiments that I wonder what life would be like if I never started 365 (I met him through this, you know 😉 )…but I am so, so glad I did as I am thrilled with the events of this year…so for THAT I am even more glad, thank you 🙂
@.tara.: you’re welcome and thanks for thanking me again. 🙂
Wow. You did it. And what an amazing photo to finish on.
Chris Maverick, I salute you!
@gimmie_shoes: thank you
Congrats on making it to the end! And thanks for starting the 365 Days group. I didn’t make it to the end of my own 365 Days but I have a lot of respect and admiration for anyone that can stick it out for the whole year of taking a self-portrait each day. While I wasn’t able to complete my own journey it made me a better photographer and I learnt a lot about myself in the process and for that I offer my heartfelt thanks…
So, congrats again and best wishes for your future successes and of course your Year 2 of the project!

@Sandman5: thank you. Here’s to hoping you try again someday.
Congratulations for completing the journey.
I just joined and I find it extremely challenging.
It makes me aware of how little free time I have,
and that I hate. Every morning before work I
struggle to take my picture for the day. And being
somewhat of a perfectionist, I usually have to
take several before I get the right one.
So, it’s helping me in my photography skills.
But, sometimes I feel terribly narrcistic doing this.
I’d rather be taking someone or something else’s
portrait. Oh well, we shall see if I can keep it up
for a whole year like you did, my hero!
God, your still taking great pics!
@rockwilder: In one sense I can assure you it becomes easier. I generally have to take several shots in any given day to get the one I want. It’s never easy, but it deos get easier. And having finished I can say most certainly that it is worth it.
@a butterfly: thank you
congrats
i’ve been following sarah(sad and beautiful) and watching her develop(no pun intended) into an amazing artist
all the best to you
hope you get a better job!

Chris, sorry I’m late in commenting on this but I just want to say thankyou so much for starting this group – I’m only on day 216 but I’ve not missed one yet and I will make it. I can’t believe it will be January when I do. What a fantastic pic to finish it on too. Your photos and many others in this group have inspired me and this project has given me so much already. Thankyou so very much – your $10 is on it’s way 🙂
Sal
@nancenet70: sarah has become amazing over the last year. At this point I would settle for almost any job, but thank you.
@sazztastical: I’m glad I could be of any inspiration to anybody. Good luck in continuing. Thank you and thank you for the donation.
Thanks! And congratulations!
@elladog: no, thank you.
Congratulations, your work has certainly evolved and you are an inspiration. I’m a 365 quitter but I kept watching the group. Best wishes to you and keep up the photography. I’ll be watching for your tarot set.
@Lifeandtimesofchantel: thank you, hopefully one day you try again. In any case, I appreciate your support. The tarot deck remains in the works.
$182.77…I was really hoping you’d be a millionaire by now 😉

@Ayoumali: no problem. Thank you for participating. I’m glad you are enjoying it.
Congratulations on reaching a year and thanks. Your simple, great idea has taken such a hold on my creativity that i barely have enough energy to work! At around a third of the way into my year, it has already given me more fun, education, frustration and late nights than i could ever expected. Well done for keeping going too!
@stewartbremner: thank you, and good luck completing the project yourself.
i love the picture. congratulations on completing the project.
thanks for the 365 day project. it’s definitely something that i look forward to throughout these endless days.
