I was worried about this one actually, as per all coin cards, it had to be sepia, but as per the concept of three cards, it had to be a mirror or clone shot. I was worried that the sepia against the B&W of a cup card would be too weird, but I actually kind of like it. It really kind of gives me the yin yang sense that I’m trying to pull off with the threes.

It’s pretty darned cool! I love the amber of the brew!
@lrayholly: cool… is it clear that its the same person?
Honestly, I didn’t get that until I read the description. But then, I’m kind of slow on the uptake on that… I remember on the last one (I think it was the last one) I didn’t get it there either & I think most others did!
@lrayholly: well, one of the things I liked about both girls was their ability to look completely different and not make it so obvious that they were the same person. I was quite happy with it.
I couldn’t initially tell that it was the same person, then I remembered the theme of the threes.
@MegaBee: hmm… well how is it working as a concept and visually? do you like it?
It works wonderfully. The sepia on the left, the B&W on the right, and the full color of the beer in the middle all conspire to keep the eye from resting on any one point in the image. The entire composition swirls around the glass in the middle. You nailed yin-yang dead on.
It’s hard to tell that they’re the same person because B/W’s face is obscured, but I assumed they were the same based on the mirror card. Anyhow, I like it whether you know they’re the same or not. 🙂
@MegaBee: cool. Thanks.
@terpsichoreann: I’m glad it works without it being obvious. I was afraid the sepia and B&W to be too hokey.
