My anniversary is tomorrow. My Halloween party is Saturday. I woke up today as sick as a dog.
This is totally not going to work.
I could go for downing a bottle of Nyqil, and I haven’t ruled that out, but I think I need results a little faster than that.
So its time to go old school. Try something a little traditional, but a little less conventional. I’m going to burn it out.
Steph tells me that there’s no scientific proof that it will work. I say to hell with science. This is something better. You are now witnessing the strength of street knowledge.
In other words, pass the Courvoissier.
oh hon. I hope your method works fast! I’d hate for you to be sick for the haloween jam. Even if I can’t be there… I’ll be gothing out as a vampire for a party here on Saturday and I’ll be thinking of you.
never too early for a drinky drink

Seen on your photo stream. (?)
Feel better fast, sir! I’m a big fan of the hot toddy — honey, lemon, booze. Even if it doesn’t succeed in making me well, I certainly end up caring a little less about how crummy I feel. 🙂
Something much be working its way around town – Gabriela and I are both home from work with the plague, too… Hopefully it’s gone for tomorrow!!!
@mickeysacks: I’m getting a little better. Not there yet. *sigh*
@Mikey aka DaSkinnyBlackMan: that’s what I’m sayin’
@tomato_sutra: yep, that’s kind of the plan if I’m not better by tomorrow night.
@Atraxen: well, if not, there’ll be plenty of licquor. See you tomorrow, I hope.
Never could take Nyquil. First time I had it, I wound up spending the night in the basement on W 20th street. I would have gone with the Courvoissier, probably warm — and hoped for the best.
@DeHoll: oh, I finished a bottle of nyquil last night. I just wanted to save it up, and I didn’t want to be late for work.
Thank you for sharing your photo!This photograph appears in a NowPublic news story: Smoking and obesity may lead to hearing loss, but booze helps.
