Day 452 of 365 More.

So, I’m actually still sick. In the old days, I’d just chug a big bottle of Q and be done with it, but now, I have the problem of having to get up for work in the mornings. *sigh* Damn society! Forcing me to work and shit! Anyway, 24-hour, non-drowsy Claritin is pretty much what’ keeping me alive at this point.

Poor Steph is even worse off than me. She seems to have the flu as well, but not being all manly and studly like me, isn’t able to function as well, even with the pills. So date night was cancelled today, and instead we stayed in and enjoyed playing Big Brain Academy (brain teasers) on her Wii.

Hopefully we’ll both be better soon. I miss breathing. Hmm, and I have to wrestle this weekend. That’s going to be fun.

Next year, I think I’m going to get me one of them snazzy flu shots all the kids are always raving about.

    Nice spittle and yellow slime on the tongue. It ain’t pretty, but it gets the point across.

    Yeah, that looks pretty danged sickly. Blech! Hope you and Steph are feeling better soon.

    BTW… it’s not too late to get a flu shot for this year. Actually now is the time to get it! Might be a good idea. Keep you from getting a REALLY bad bug.

    I felt your pain a few weeks ago. I had serious sore throat and crappy congestion, and actually did a shot similar to this, with a flickr twist.

    I almost took that same shot last night!

    I highly recommend the flu shot for you both. I got mine weeks ago, and have sworn by them for years. But, you do have to be nonfeverish to get one.

    You might try Sudafed (nondrowsy) to restore necessary (daytime) functionality.

    I had hoped to see more photos of the Halloween costumes by now. I have read descriptions of Mav’s but nothing of Steph’s. Surely she did not go as herself.

    Date night was not cancelled, it’s just that the infirmed venue was selected. (That would be the upside view offered from a public relations perspective)

    Ya’ll get better!!

    so this answers my question of- ‘can allergy medicine treat a cold?’. I have a hard time figuring out which is which sometimes, and wonder if it matters. Evidently not! thanks!
    I hope you’re on the mend immediately. And what is Q?

    Aww, I hope you both feel better!

    @jeremiahblatz: thanks. I thought about redoing it because of the spittle but it was hard enough to get the macro lined up and then I realized it was more real that way anyway.

    @amanky: thanks.

    @lrayholly: you know, I never really got the flu until the year grampa convinced me to get the shot. Was fine that year and have gotten sick every year since.

    @MegaBee: heh… there’s always tonight.

    @DeHoll: I’m notoriously slow putting up party pics. Haven’t even done it from my birthday yet, and I wouldn’t put them on flickr probably anyway. If you check out Megabee’s stream you should see some though. And I don’t need Sudafed. i have cough drops and dayquil to get me through the day.

    @lalalaa Dolce Vita: it kinda works. It has a decongestant in it, which is what I need it for.

    @adayinthelife: thank you

    @lalalaa Dolce Vita: oh, also… Q is NyQuil. Because it has a big Q on the bottle.

    hope you’re both feeling better by now.

    @pi c’s: getting there. Thanks for asking.
