A few days ago I finally ordered all of the zodiac necklaces I need for my new photography project I came up with. In order to get all the signs, I had to go to four different stores. One of them had free shipping if I ordered a specific amount and I was a little short so I ended up buying myself a Norse Wolf Cross.
I’ve always been a fan of both wolves (as the tattoos on my shoulders might imply) and Norse mythology. For some reason, they’ve always just kinda spoken to me. The idea of this particular talisman was a merger between the nordic and christian mythos. There was a Wolf’s Hammer talisman that had Fenris, the mythical wolf that will help bring about Ragnarok, the end of the world, devouring Mjolnir, Thor’s hammer. As christianity began to spread, the missionaries replaced the hammer with a cross to appeal to those who worshipped the Norse gods and attempt to slowly convert them. For a time, the symbol was used by both pagans and christians alike. It symbolizes vitality and success as well as strength and virility (which the original talisman represented). All things I could use more of.
Cool beans! heehee, you said Ragnarok; it always makes me giggle! Ignore me, I’m tired and I need to go to bed.

What an amazing symbol. I love it. I don’t believe I’ve seen it, or if I have it slips my memory.
