500 days ago, I saw Stephen Poff’s Superman picture and it inspired me to start the 365 Days project. Back then i never knew that it would eventually change my life and the lives of so many others.
I like to mark big milestones in this project with big posts talking about this project and what its meant to me. I like to thank the viewers and fans and people who inspire me to keep going no matter how tired of looking at myself I may get.
Today, I just want to dedicate to Stephen, a man I’ve never met, who not only gave me the idea, who not only wrote the introduction to my book (on sale now, only $49.95), but who had an idea that has changed my life.
Now who thinks I’ll make 500 more?
If I bet against 500 more, will you do it?
@phlewght: I’m not committing to anything. I’m just taking each day as they come.
hahaha this is funny
Good man!
First off, I want to thank you. In the past year and a half, or so, I’ve really gotten into photography. It’s now a passion, and the greatest hobby I’ve ever had. The 365 days project is responsible for that, and you Mav, are responsible for the 365 days project. So, thank you! But at the same time, I must give equal props to Stephen Poff, who inspired you.
And about the next 500.
I believe in you, man!

@kaylah♫: thanks.
@Rockin’ Rob: thanks. And I’m glad the project has meant something to you.
I’m obsessed with the project and I haven’t even completed my first year! I think it is thrilling how far people go, the project is so similar yet — so personal for everyone.
@Chaparral [Kendra]: yeah, its amazing the way its brought so many people together.
It’s like crack. Call me Tyrone Biggums
Mav darlin’, I can only hope for 500 more days of images of you. I’m pretty sure I’m going to take a break after my year is up (in about a month!) but I’m thrilled that you’re still going strong.
And I love this photo. Of course I also love Stephen’s photo that inspired it (and inspired me by proxy).
500 Days! Who’d a thunk it?
The whole thing is so incredibly impressive! Anyway, you know this whole thing has meant a lot to me, even though you practically had to drag me kickin’ and screamin’ into 365 world. It just occurred to me that I started this project while I was trying to mentally recuperate from Hurricane Katrina. This has been a good vehicle for my return to some sort of sanity (my kind of sanity, such as it is). I really hadn’t thought about that before. Wow, MUCH cheaper than therapy!
Keep on keepin’ on Chris!

Thanks so much Chris. It means a lot to me to know that my little project has meant something to others. I know it was cathartic for me.
On that note, I’ll take this time to let you know that there are some bigger things in the works for 365 Days. In the next couple of days I’ll fill you in on it, but suffice it to say that I want you to be a part of it and that I think it will really give the project a kick in the pants. Excited? 😉
Stephen
I think you are awesome.
That is all
you funny man. i bet you have plenty of ideas up your sleeve for the next 500, and i think your ‘take it one day at a time’ attitude is a smart one
Goals accomplished are always the best ones. Really glad to see the book out.
LOL!
Great shot.
And Merry Christmas to you and Steph!!
xo
@Mikey aka DaSkinnyBlackMan: Fear? Let me tell you something, Joe Rogan. I smoke rock!
@mickeysacks: thanks. I’m not quitting yet. But like I said. One day at a time.
@lrayholly: I’m just glad you’ve been enjoying it.
@Stephen Poff: yep… I totally feel the same way. Just with a whole bunch more words. 🙂 And yes, I’m very excited to hear about it.
@spresogna: awww…Thanks hun’, *smooch*
@wimdejonge: hah… actually I struggle many days to come up with something… My going strong days were like 100-350. My last few I had preplanned. But 500 days in, I’ve kinda used a lot of stuff up.
@DeHoll: really the big goal was hitting 365. Now its just habit and unwillingness to break the streak.
@sadandbeautiful (Sarah): thank you and merry christmas to you too.
well done… and thanks for being part of the revolution that has also rocked MY world…
blessings!
