One of the things I always wanted to use 365 for was experimenting. Sometimes I come up with little camera tricks that I don’t really want to bother with fiddling with during an actual shoot, so why not try them on myself. Only I haven’t been doing them much lately, so why not today.
This is a clone shot, done without the aid of photoshop. This is pretty much right out of the camera, but for some cropping. The trick, a long exposure, a small aperture, a quick flash and the ability to turn hot lights on and off. Not something I’d do a lot, but kind of neat.
In other news, I spoke with Stephen Poff today about his idea to do a 365 Days podcast. He only told me about it a couple days ago, but its already coming together pretty quickly, and I’m pretty excited about it. If you’re a 365er (past or present) and you’d like to have a photo included in the inaugural broadcast, check out my post in the 365 forums.
This project coming together so quickly has inspired me to work more on my own personal projects. I have the shots done for 2 more tarot cards, that I should get up soon, but that’ll have to wait til after I’ve finished editing the Leann nude set, which will then mean I can edit Sarah‘s Steelers set. Of course, maybe I’ll hold off on that, because I’m pretty sure waiting to see them is the only reason she checks in here every day. (hi, babe! 🙂 )
And then after I do that, I have ideas for two different glamour calendars and another book. And I’ve been putting off getting Elseworld rebuilt (Jack, Lauren and Max, I haven’t forgotten. I’ve just been busy). So much to do, and I’m enjoying it all. I almost feel like an artist again… you know…except for that whole "having a job" part.
That is SO Not…. er… I mean…. um….
Oh you sound happy! You know, I mean, for you 😉 This is a good thing!
