Four days. That’s all that’s left to my show. I’m actually feeling pretty good about it. I got my prints back today, and I even made a Black and Light gallery on Elseworld on the off chance that someone who isn’t going to the show would like to buy a print of them online.
Now all that’s left is to buy some mats for the prints and mat them and then hang them Friday night. I’m pretty excited about it. Of course, I’ll probably be upset when its a total bust and I don’t sell a single print. But that’s something to worry about later.
Why doesn’t Elseworld list the prices of the prints? I’d totally go for the one in your right hand if it’s in my (meager) collegestudent budget.
Cool! And stop thinking negative thoughts! You need to think POSITIVE!

Seen in my contacts’ photos. (?)
@gotplaid?: Yeah, I’m not so sure what the best way to address that is. The problem is you don’t really buy prints from Elseworld, they’re printed somewhere else. And you can get whatever size you want. The 8x10s I’m holding are $7.99. But you could get tiny ones for like $4, or you could pay $40 for a huge canvas print. If you add a photo to your shopping cart and then "checkout" the other site gives you all your options. I need to work out a way to make it a little cleaner, but I’m just using out of the box stuff right now.
@lrayholly: What? That is positive!
I wish we could somehow conjure plane tickets and go see your show. Or fix my transporter fixed. Or achieve bi-location.
@adayinthelife: thank you. I appreciate the support. Though really, you can see all the pieces I’ll be showing here on flickr or at the elseworld link I put up there.
SHOW???? Why haven’t I heard about this untill now? When and where do I need to be??? Call me and let me know if you need help or just to give me directions……
Alright, I followed the link and know all the details now! So, just call me if you need help setting up and I will plan on being there on Saturday night!
@sassyshannon999: oh, please do come. We miss you guys. Don’t worry about setting up. I’m going to go out there and do that the night before.
There’s something just nice about going to a gallery, been about, jeez, 10 years since I’ve been to a show, sadly. I need to get out more.
@adayinthelife: oh, well in that case… please, buy a ticket, come on up! 🙂
yippee!! good luck mav.
i’ve still got 2 full months to procrastinate…which i’m sure i’ll do as i do it with flair usually ;-P i haven’t printed a single thing, nor bought frames or mattes (or is it mats?)…but i have a gift card ready to use for the sole purpose of those things and i may print some of them at home (gonna have to test the quality).
@pi c’s: its a nice thing to do every once in a while, but it will be nice when it’s over too. It’s just a lot of work.
I don’t usually like to use home prints for stuff like this. The quality just isn’t as good, and the ink doesn’t last as long. But it can get expensive. I spent over $200 on all of my prints for this show alone.
You printed my favorite 🙂
@mesh2: yep! did you have any doubt?
