I remember when I used to win poker games. Damn, those were the good old days.
Actually, I didn’t play badly tonight. For a while I just wasn’t getting the cards. I ended up short stacked and then I had K♣-J♣ with a 4♣-2♣-6♠ flop. I decided it was time to make my move. All-in was risky, sure. But if it paid off, I’d be in really good shape.
Everyone folded but one person. It took him forever to decide. But eventually he calls, thinking I had a pair and he’d have to make the flush.
My flush. Yep. The only thing I was worried about. A flush with an Ace. Which of course he got on the turn, which completed my flush.
To add insult to injury, his was a straight flush. You know, just so it would sting a little more.
*sigh* I hate life.
Aw Man!!!! That sucks!

I’m not sure where I was when everyone was rounded up to learn how to play poker.
Or solitaire.
Or blackjack.

I’m with shockingbird – I never learned to play – darnit!! Is it too late to learn?
Now – Solitaire – that’s another subject – I am EXCELLENT at solitaire….but that doesn’t tend to win you too much money…..unless you have the split personality thing…….
better luck next time, Mav!!
@lrayholly: yep… *sigh*
@shockingbird: you should learn it. It’s really fun.
@Babs1696: nope, it’s never to late.
@pinkgypsysoul: what helped me a lot was watching it on TV and playing the video games a lot
That sucks…. but a straight flush is sweet.
@blew629: yeah, I mean, you can’t be TOO mad about it… you know?
