So I wanted to get a bunch of comic book stuff done this weekend, and I did. Five pages in two days. I feel like I’m back on schedule, and as an added bonus, I get to go to sleep tonight at a very early reasonable 2:30AM. That’s actually even early for me.
And that’s with even going to Easter dinner at Steph’s aun’t house today, and having filmed the podcast yesterday. I am the new hardest working man in show business. Hit me! Two Times! On the good foot. Yaiowww!
Stephen did a tutorial this week for the podcast on night shooting with a strobe. We all know how I feel about strobes, but I figured it’d be nice to give this one a try. I tweaked his technique a tiny bit. But I came up with this.
For you photo geeks out there, it’s a 2 min. 30 sec exposure at ƒ11 and 100ISO with a Canon 430EX on a stand at 30 degrees camera right through an umbrella. White Balanced for Tungsten and then tweaked a bit in the Photoshop RAW plugin to get a nice eerie blue glow. The flash fired at 1st curtain and I left the shot right after.
And now, some well deserved sleep.
ooh I love the way the dark parts of your face blend away into the night.
A very good photo…. Displays you talent, understanding of the science and mechanics well, and draws upon your visual composition skills.
The comic book? Working toward completion of task. You go Mav!
