Day 617 of 365 More.

Honestly, that’s what I get for getting complacent.

I’ve been worried about the comic for the last few days. mostly because at this point, there’s nothing I can really do. Everything is ordered. Everything is paid for. Really all I have is to wait for it to be delivered. I hate the waiting.

Luckily I have other things to keep myself busy.

I figured out what was wrong with my editting software this morning. And got my tutorial fixed for the 365 podcast.

Then I shot the episode with Stephen. And then I spent the day working on the Cosmic Hellcats website. Which is now open, in its most basic form. There’s not much there. Just an announcement about the comic being done and where you can order it, and talking about us being at comicon. But it’s something that I had been putting off, and I spent the better part of the day getting it working. Go me.

I even got to try my next batch of homemade beer. It’s a different recipe than the last. Still good, but not as unique. Might have to try to make the maple beer again.

I generally let video from the podcast download overnight as I sleep, and I was going to do that tonight but before I did, I got mail from the online comic store telling me that the comic is up on their website for purchase. So there you go, if you don’t want to buy the snazzy but expensive portfolio edition from Blurb (which you totally should because it has some awesome photography in it), now you can order your very own affordable standard comic copy.

Pretty exciting, huh?

So yeah, I felt like everything was going well. So I set the videotape downloading and decided it’d be nice to play some video games for the first time in a month. Just kind of relax and decompress by ramming a digital car into a bus at 90 miles an hour. What could be more soothing that that?

When I finished playing I checked on the footage, which had finished downloading and found… bad audio. Not no audio, so I didn’t forget to turn the mic on. Just really really really quiet audio. A whisper. As though the mic is no longer amplified. I have no idea why. The camera worked fine yesterday to do my tutorial. I may be able to fix it tomorrow, but even still, I’ll probably still have to organize time with Stephen to shoot the whole episode over. Which really sucks, because we actually did a pretty good one. And on top of that, I have a shoot in like 5 hours and its 5am because I just spent the last hour fiddling with it.

Ugh… I hate life sometimes… I’m going to bed.

PS… buy the comic. Or the portfolio edition. Or hell. Buy both! I’m poor and you should feel sorry for me.

365 days

You’re so confused… You don’t hate life. You love it, and you love it full! You were absolutely miserable when you had no problems and nothing to do. So your life fixed itself and gave you a problem to work on. See? Perfect!

I’m totally on your mom’s side about you needing problems to work on… So I have no pity.

But hey… can I paypal you money directly to reserve myself a signed copy of the comic? (drop me an email or call me and let me know the total $ that would be with your own shipping costs and all that detail-oriented stuff)

@DeHoll: yeah… some times too much so.

@lrayholly: no, I didn’t like being broke and having nothing to do. Towards the end I had plenty to do and it was just the broke. I can always do without the problems.

@Sick Little Monkey: hah… and I’m still having problems. I hope Stephen is able to pull the audio from our second cut of the show. It’ll really suck if we have to do a third.

@mickeysacks: again, the problems really don’t do it for me. I like working on stuff. Problems not so much. And yeah, we can work something out with the book. Do you know which version you want? And just a book or a t-shirt or what?

Finally uploaded my Founder’s Day pic, & I chose this one to copy cat…simply because I hear ya on the technology can suck sometimes front…ok, there’s the whole get to drink beer while shooting factor too.

For the record, if I had more time (& wasn’t so behind in my uploads), I would’ve copied this shot, only the blade would be a texture of the moon…beware he who wields the moon sword.
