I have a lot of thinking to do.
The studio that I was working with a few times in the last year or so on gallery shows is going away. Several people from the studio are thinking of opening a new one. I have an opportunity to be a part of that.
It’s been a dream of mine for a while to do something similar to this. Not exactly how I envisioned it. I want more of a combination studio/bar. But this idea intrigues me nonetheless.
So it’s a decent space. I think it will make a great gallery, but not as nice a studio as the last place. In fact, while it’s bigger than the one in my house, it’s not so much bigger that I’d see myself going out of my way to shoot there regularly. But then who knows.
On the other hand, it’s a hell of a gallery space and it’d be nice to be a part of that.
Blah… I do so hate thinking…
sounds like a good way to get your dreams on their feet. Once you have the momentum, you’re halfway into space!
Gallery space is a really valuable way to bring in clients….publicity. And if people are going there for other artists, they’re more apt to find you then when you’re hiding in your own house studio…. Maybe you could make it your goal to spend one day a week there.
That thinking stuff is necessary, but it sure does bring on the headaches. Good luck with whatever you decide. Sounds interesting though.
@SaylaMarz: yeah. We’re stull working on everything.
@lrayholly: thanks
