So the rest of the world rejoiced today at the thought of President Obama. I guess I rejoice a little but too. But mostly I wonder if it meant everything everyone thought it would. Did the sun shine brighter? Did all problems in the world magically evaporate. Not that I noticed.
I found it funny last night when the results were announced. I was at the bar. And people started celebrating. A friend of mine walked up to shake my hand. Our guy won! Woohoo!
"Ummm, I voted for McKinney"
"Who"
"Green party candidate. Someone who’s platform I actually liked"
"Uhhh, why?"
God bless America.
Dude, have you not walked outside in the past couple of days? OBAMA HAS BANISHED WINTER.
I find your lack of faith disturbing.
You are such a curmudgeon! 😉
of course things will not be solved so soon. but at least the whole election thing has passed. now we just have to regroup and hope things in his presidency will go well. i’m not expecting things will be better for year 2009. at least the image of america would be an improvement. when i was out of the country last month. i see a lot of people are not fond of americans because of bush. that negativity toward americans will be change eventually. just dont know how long it would take.

Seen in my contacts’ photos. (?)
Was she on the ballot in PA, or did you have to write her in?
@jeremiahblatz: I seem to recall Nader being the Green candidate on the PA ballot. Mav hella threw his vote away.
@sui66iy: nah, at this point it’s clear he just delayed it.
@lrayholly: who me?
@excalipoor: oh, I’m not even looking for overnight change. I enjoy watching the process.
@jeremiahblatz: had to write her in. She got most states but not this one.
@MegaBee: you recall incorrectly. Nader in an independent candidate. The Green Party didn’t make the ballot here, but endorsed her as a write-in as she was their national candidate.
