I had this little tradition going. I just hadn’t realized it. on both of my previous pics for 11-22 I had done a picture of the world famous Maverick family rice pudding. I make it for Thanksgiving every year and this year was no different. Only I didn’t happen to use it for my picture that day.
Well, I’m fixing it today.
You’ll note the consistency of the "pudding" I’m eating. Funny story. I was like 23 or 24 years old before I knew that other people used the words "rice pudding" to describe that yucky looking creamy, uh…, puddingish stuff they eat. Ewww. Rice pudding is supposed to be a nice yummy, sticky, caserole of sweet rice and rasiny goodness.
Jealous aren’t you?
Yes I am. I’m hungry and I could use some RIGHT NOW!
@lrayholly: come on by
You wouldn’t share with us the recipe?
@BeguilingSunflower: heh…. someone asks that everytime. Would you believe it’s a family secret? And by family secret, I mean, there’s isn’t actally a recipe. It’s a "I learned it by watching my mom" kinda thing. I believe she did it the same way. There’s not even an exact ingredient list.
Figured as much 😉 We have a few of those in our family as well. Darn. I do love me some rice pudding.
