Day 886 of 365 Again.

Like I said, I have so been waiting to do one of these.

Spent much of the morning stuck in the hotel room, since Steph’s luggage was STILL not here. Eventually, I decided that’s no way to do Vegas, and we had Blue Man Group tickets and stuff tonight. I spent a lot of money to come here and we certainly weren’t going to waste it sitting around in a hotel watching TV. We can do that at home. So i went over to the mall in the hotel and went shopping for her. Got her a couple of outfits, make-up and such to tide her over and a new bikini so we could go swimming.

There’s something quite amazing about being able to go swimming in January, OUTSIDE! There are actually two pools at the Planet Hollywood. One I guess gets better sun than the other, and was quite warm. Not as tropical as I like my pool to be, but Steph considered it bathwater temperature (white people take baths in ice water you see, something about a polar bear club). Anyway, it was definitely tolerable and felt great to be able to get in there. Steph was nice enough to join me for a self-portrait just to test out the camera’s underwater shooting. I think it worked out great. Note my crazy perfect Aquaman form. Steph’s would be ok too, but she seems to have something against opening her eyes in the water. Oh well, I still think the shot looks cool.

After we went swimming we had dinner at a nice buffet, I probably put on like 20 pounds. Then we went off to see Blue Man Group. We got back to our casino just in time for Steph to play in an all women’s poker tournament. She didn’t win but I’m proud of her anyway. Hopefully I’ll get to play in an open one tomorrow.

All in all it was a good day. Still not rich. But I have a few more days to keep trying.
