For a little bit there I was doing really good at whipping myself back into shape. I was up to ninety minutes of cardio. I was on the way to losing all the extra weight I had packed on. I was actually feeling pretty good.
But the problem with being as busy as I am, work, projects, trying to have some semblance of a social life, is that some things just fall by the wayside.
It sucks. So now I’m back up to my holiday weight and I have more work to do. And I have to struggle to find the time. I promised Steph I’d work on it though, so I hit the elliptical tonight. 30 minutes. 2 miles. A third of where I was 2 months ago. But I guess it’s a start.
Let’s hope I can keep it up.
I looked at an elliptical over the weekend but what I really want is a treadmill. Therefore I didn’t get either and I am just as fat and out of shape as I was last week… sigh.
I know the exact feeling, I did so well for a couple of years, and then it all went completely wrong last autumn… *sigh* I have 20 pounds to loose now and worse, a back that is getting sorer by the day because I don’t move about enough. The only thing one can do is forgive oneself and start all over.
lrayholly: I actually wanted a treadmill originally, but ended up getting the elliptical and now I like it better. The treadmill I was more used to, but the elliptical is MUCH easier on my knees.
@chrismaverick: Really? I was only considering the treadmill over the elliptical because I thought IT would be easier on my knees!!! We must talk!
@lrayholly: The elliptical is very low impact.
training is infused with who you are and how you think.
