Day 964 of 365 Again.
Today was April Fools day. I thought about having a big April Fools joke kinda picture. I also thought about just doing something cool since I have this idea I want to do for a blog rant. I didn’t get around to either of those things.
Instead I spent the entire night working on my comic strip. So what you get is a Photo Booth pic taken with my web cam of me sitting on my couch and coloring with my Wacom tablet.
I’m actually kinda happy I did devote so much time to it though. I’m pretty happy with the joke in tonight’s strip. In fact, Max and I are both pretty happy with the whole concept behind it. The art, the coloring, the joke, the flow of the strip just all seemed to come together. Plus there are just a few metacomic ideas I’m toying with in this particular one that no one is going to pick up on but that i’m really pleased with. I just like exploring the form elements of the comics media.
Anyway, if you never check it out, check this one out, just because I like it. And for god’s sake leave us feedback. We like knowing what you think.

You know you just want to make me jealous by showing your tablet… it worked. I can’t stand to be tech deficient you know.
lrayholly: do you really want one? I can get you a cheaper one for your birthday or mother’s day or something maybe. Is it something you’d use?
@chrismaverick: I have no idea what I’d use it for, to be honest. I just envy anyone who has techie stuff that I don’t!
lrayholly most of the time I just use it as a mouse. It has a mouse and a pen. The pen part I use when I’m editing photos sometimes or when I’m just drawing. Here is their current cheap model. The one I use at home is larger and more expensive, but I use an older model of the one I linked to here at work.
Ok, read the link & I’m intriqued; but it says it works with Photoshop Elements. No mention of CS or other versions. I’d love to play with one first… dang!
lrayholly: it works with anything. Pretty much if you can use a mouse on it, you can use the pad on it. (I don’t even have a regular mouse)
