So, according to my mom, my little nephew has been practicing the ancient ninja art of invisibility. Everyone apparently just thought it cute and silly, since he’s only a year old, but the more I think about it, maybe the kid is a genius. So I’ve been practicing it myself the last couple days.
It’s really pretty simple, really. All you have to do is harness your force of will to bend photons around your body so that rather than bouncing off of you and reflecitng back towards a viewer they instead reflect whatever is behind you. I know that sounds difficult at first, but the trick is realizing that you don’t really have to bend the entire electromagnetic spectrum, for most cases, it good enough to focus just on the visible light portion.
I’ve almost got it down. Once I’m a little better I’m going to try it out on a couple bank vaults and maybe a cheerleader lockerroom.
Personally, I rock it Predator-style:
MegaBee: eh… if I was gonna be a character from predator, I’d be Jesse Ventura.
Danny Glover is the superior character in the Predator saga.
MegaBee: Bah! Danny Glover is cool and all, but you can just look at him and tell that he has time to bleed. Anyone who has time to bleed can’t be superior to someone who doesn’t.
Okay, well that’s cool
You know what Jim: thanks
Danny Glover went toe to toe with the Predator. That’s all I’m saying.
MegaBee: all while complaining about being too old for this shit. Ok, maybe he didn’t say it out loud. But he was thinking it. You can tell.
Ok, this is really cool! Can’t wait to show it to Kas
I’ll even read the description to him to help him along in his endeavors. Gotta fave this AND I’m choosing it for the next 365 icon
This is the coolest one you’ve done in a while (IMHO).
Oh yeah, and thanks for the heads up on my Day 844 missing from my set… whew!
lrayholly: really? you choose this? I honestly don’t think it’s all that cool. I mean I liked the idea, and it’s ok, but I thought everyone would think it was boring looking.
chrismaverick: Shows how much you know! Anyway, I can’t believe the pic of mine that they chose today for the icon.
lrayholly: yeah, I guess everyone is their own worst critic or something
I tried to do something like this a while back and failed. This looks amazing.
thats trippy!!

Seen on your photo stream. (?)
chrismaverick: thanks. I had to play with it quite a bit actually. My first inclination was to just lower opacity and changle blending modes and stuff, that didn’t look right at all.
r3g: wow. I really didn’t think this many people whould care about it.
Cool! Is it just a coincidence that you did this the opening weekend of the Terminator movie?
beststephi: Thanks. And yeah, it’s just a coincidence. Or not even that, really. Terminators can’t make themselves invisible.
I’m pretty sure the dude in T2 walked through walls though.
beststephi: Oh, the T-1000. No, not exactly, It could become a metal ooze and slide through stuff. And I guess it can camoflage itself by mimicing the look of the brick wall and standing just right in front of it, but it couldn’t turn invisible or intangible, per se.
hahahaha
backalley brawler: glad you liked it.
Congratulations! You are now the 365 Days icon! You have 24 hours to chose a new icon and leave a note for the admins in this thread. Happy hunting!
