The butler did it.
Ok, actually it was the court sternographer. But it shouldn’t have been. Tonight, Steph and i went on a murder mystery cruise with her mother. Steph loves murder mysteries, so she was really excited about it.
I was pretty sure that I had discovered the murderer after the opening act of their little play, but then during dinner, the actors wander around and talk to the audience so that we can question them and they can give us clues. By the time they asked me to be a part of the jury (who tries to figure out the answer) I was pretty worried. I declined jury membership so that Steph could do it and watched the rest of the show.
I thought it was the courtroom reporter. Steph thought it was the defendent. But the jury voted and they decided on the sternographer, which turned out to be "right," just as I feared. It doesn’t matter who the jury picks. That person ends up being guilty, no matter how little sense it makes. That way the entire audience goes home happy.
Well, except for us. We’re the kinda people that really want to be proven right. Fuck the happy ending.
Oh well, at least I got to stand on the deck of boat and look at the lights of the city while the jury was deliberating. That’s something, right? I kinda wish I’d had my better camera around. Oh well.
